Scrutiny: An Examination of John 3:16: Is Christianity's Interpretation of the Bible Correct?
"For ELOHIM so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
This is the most rehearsed scripture of all time. Many people have difficulty accepting that YAHUSHUA was sent only to the House of Israel. When reading the verse, we have to look at who were the people John was teaching. YAHUSHUA sent His disciples to teach the children of Israel living amongst the Gentiles. Matthew 10:5-6 reads, "These twelve YAHUSHUA sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:" 6 "But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." Matthew 15:24 reads, "But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel."From these two scripts alone, we can see that John was speaking to the children of Israel, informing them YAHUAH loved the children of Israel, and He gave His only begotten son to the house of Israel; whosoever believes shall not perish, but shall have everlasting life.
Paul wrote in Romans 15:8-9, "Now I say that YAHUSHUA Ha'Mashiach was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of ELOHIM, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:" 9 "And that the Gentiles might glorify ELOHIM for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name."
Once you understand who John was speaking to, you must ask:
Was YAHUAH everyone's ELOHIM?
YAHUAH said He was the Father of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Exodus 3:6 tells us, "Moreover he said, I am the ELOHIM of thy father, the ELOHIM of Abraham, the ELOHIM of Isaac, and the ELOHIM of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon YAHUAH."
Moses was an Israelite from the tribe of Levi. Matthew and Paul, in the New Testament, informed the children of Israel that YAHUAH was the ELOHIM of their Fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Remember, YAHUSHUA sent his disciples to the children living among the Gentiles; YAHUAH never said He was the ELOHIM of all.
The facts are clear; we have never been taught to study and read what is right in our faces.
