PARKER COLLINS SHOVED a handful of M&M’s in her mouth, eyes glued to Saw III. A burst of light illuminated the pitch-black media room, followed by a scream of terror. Christmas, her four-year-old English mastiff, sacked out beside her on the couch, pushed his big head beneath her legs as darkness shrouded them again. Another shrill scream brought her big chicken of a dog deeper into her leg tunnel.

“Whoever said dogs were a man’s best friend was an idiot. My best friend.” Especially now that Bert’s gone. A few tears slipped down her cheek.

Christmas whimpered, pulled his head from beneath her legs, and licked her from chin to eyes, getting every last one of her tears and coming back for more. He’d been lapping up her tears for two weeks, ever since she’d lost her friend, mentor, and the only family she’d ever known. Bert Stein had suffered a massive heart attack while Parker was in Italy filming her latest movie, and she’d been moving on autopilot ever since: picking up Christmas from his housekeeper in Los Angeles because Bert had been watching him while she was away, attending Bert’s funeral, trying to remember how to breathe, and finally, coming to her house in Wellfleet to mourn—and, she hoped, to mend a fence Bert was never able to with his estranged brother.

Holing up in the bay-front home she’d built for the Collins Children’s Foundation, where no one would look for her, was the only way she could grieve without negative ramifications. God forbid an A-list actress went out looking like an average woman whose heart had been ripped from her chest. Rag magazines would pay big bucks for pictures of her puffy, tired eyes and I-don’t-give-a-shit tangled hair. She could just imagine the headlines: Parker Collins’s New Drug Addiction, or Unplanned Pregnancy for Parker , or anything else that would sell magazines. Nobody cared that she’d never even smoked a cigarette, that she needed to have sex in order to get pregnant, or that she’d gone so long without, she wondered if her best parts even worked anymore.

She pressed her hands to Christmas’s droopy cheeks, kissed her bewildered boy’s snout, and reached for the bottle of tequila she’d been nursing. She’d never had tequila before tonight, but it was the perfect addition to her chocolate–horror movie grief remedy. After pouring herself another shot, she tossed it back in one gulp, savoring the warmth as it slid down her throat and drowned her sadness.

She set the glass beside her on the couch and shoved her hand into the jumbo bag of peanut M&M’s that had consoled her throughout the evening—because a big lazy dog was great for licking tears, but nothing quenched sadness like candy-coated chocolate. And tequila. Definitely tequila. Her fingers scraped the bottom of the bag. Damn it. She tossed the empty bag to the floor. Christmas hung his head over the side of the couch and whimpered.

“Don’t judge me. It can’t be that bad.” She leaned forward to assess the damage, knocking an empty pizza box to the floor, and reached for the coffee table to stop the room from spinning. “Whoa.”

Another scream brought her eyes to the movie, then toward the movement in her peripheral vision, where a shadowy figure blocked the entrance to the media room. It took her alcohol-drenched mind a minute to realize the tall, broad man filling the doorway wasn’t supposed to be in her house. Panic spread through her veins, catapulting her to her feet. Christmas darted to the stranger with a friendly woof.

“Oh God.” She reached for the wall to steady the spinning room, fighting to push through her drunken haze. She’d seen enough movies to know she was going to die in the media room of this lonely house, wearing chocolate-stained sweatpants—or more accurately, ice-cream-, tequila-, pizza-sauce-, and chocolate-stained sweatpants—while her dog made a new friend of her killer.

This is a fantastic romance packed with mystery, love, family and a few unexpected surprises. Oh, and a wonderful dog named Christmas! I love reading a book when the pieces you didn't know were missing, fall into place. By the time you finish the last page you're thinking "WOW! That was such an awesome and complete romance with some fantastic mystery." I loved it! I can't wait to read about Matt and Mira in Seaside Whispers. Received a copy via RockStarLit in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed is my own.

I could ramble all day on how Melissa Foster is truly one of the greatest contemporary romance authors out there today. Foster has this ability to create characters with whom her audience falls in love with simply with the turn of a page, time after time. That takes a tremendous amount of talent and creativity. Let me tell you, Ms. Foster did not disappoint with her 7th, yes, you heard me correct, 7th book from the Seaside Summer Series, "Seaside Summers". This time around, readers were introduced to the famous Parker Collins, who went into hiding after her mentor Bert Stein tragically passed away. However, there is one man who can seemingly pull Parker through her grief and straight into his arms, Grayson Lacroux. The two have this chemistry and fire between the two of them, that neither of them can or want to deny. Can Grayson pull Parker from the grief that she is sub coming? Melissa Foster is a genius when it comes to storyline, romance and chemistry. Her latest book will leave you gasping for more with her sizzling hot love scenes and her knack for getting it right, time after time. There is no coolness between Grayson and Parker and the chemistry and romance between the two will leave you breathless. If it is a book written by Foster, you know it is going to be steamy, sexy and sinfully sweet. Make sure you add Seaside Lovers to your To-Be-Read Shelf immediately .... and then make sure it makes its way on to your Read shelf. Foster spoils her readers again with this great, sexy, hot read, like she always does. You know if you are picking up a book and Foster's name is on the cover, you will not be disappointed. Definitely a must read!

I absolutely love Melissa Foster and the way her books grab you from the beginning. I always finish her books in 1-2 days because I just can’t put them down! Seaside Lovers was not the exception. This book starts hot and just gets hotter. I love that it’s set in a seaside town in MA. Grayson and Parker are a great couple. This book has it all, broken hearts, a chemistry that’s amazing between the main characters and best of all true love! I love that the characters are very believable they have flaws and strengths. They are characters you can really connect with. Melissa Foster has never failed me in her books and as always leaves me waiting anxiously for the next one! I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

Parker is one of my favorite Seaside Summers characters. She is so laid back even though she is a star. She is humble and a fun character. I was happy to see her and Grayson finally get a chance. I am glad it started out slow since both of them wanted to act like they did not like each other. Grayson is a great character as well. With Parker losing her mentor he is there to comfort and help her thorough this rough time. He helps her keep herself unique. It is a great story that really pulled me in. I love the Seaside Summers series!

Parker and Grayson's story had me not wanting to put my iPad down for anything. Summertime is the time for romance, romance novels at least! Actual romance might have to wait until the kids are off to college. For now I contain myself through Foster's well created prose. Long distance communication of any sort is hard to maintain. Tone is not well communicated through texts and emails. As a virtual teacher, I know full well how hard it is to make my intentions clear. I can only imagine how difficult it is to convey love and longing over the miles. Grayson and Parker make the difficulties of this type of romance very apparent. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them overcome their communication errors and kept my fingers crossed the entire novel that they would indeed be able to overcome their issues.

I enjoyed the fated story of Parker and Grays on. However, the sexual encounters were a bit overdone in my opinion. The mystery added to the plot was great, not too much, but just enough to add drama and a twist to the story. The seasisters and friends are great. I don't know how the author can stay on top of all the characters included, but I appreciate the updates. LA-TXN

This was the first book of the Seaside Summers series that I have read. I was worried when I started that I wouldn't be able to keep up with the story and would feel that I had missed out by starting midway through a series. I can assure anyone thinking the same that this book reads wonderfully as a stand alone story. This story isn't just about the sex (though that as always from Melissa is top notch :P )from the beginning of the book you are drawn into Parker's grief. Losing Bert has left her shattered and alone. It's down to Grayson, the sexy artist to drag her out of her M&M and tequila fueled breakdown and help her face her grief head on. The two come from very different backgrounds, she is a successful actress in the big city and he is a small town craftsman. Foster's characters are well developed and I really admire the way that her heroes have flaws, they are not the imagined Adonises of fantasy, they are real, they're perfectly imperfect and so lovable. I never include spoilers in my reviews and I feel it takes away from the reading experience, I will say though that book is so well written you will almost feel the sun on your skin and the sand beneath your toes. A beautiful love story, between beautiful people in a beautiful location. A great summer read I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

I love escaping with the Seaside gang and Melissa's writings....she makes you fall in love with love all over every time! I try to keep my bitter, cynical outlook on love but then in swoops Melissa with another book that makes me swoon and get all sappy again. Parker is my kind of gal - she loves tequila (this earned her the top spot as my favorite Seaside gal!) and junk food - sounds exactly like me! She closes up during a time of loss and who can blame the girl?! I felt the depth of her pain as it compared to the loss of a my loved one - my younger brother. Grayson is one of those guys who could possibly only exist in a book. He encompasses everything a woman would desire - compassion, understanding, patience - oh, and he's a sexy hunk of an artist. Completely swoon-worthy!! I love the connection that this pair has as I feel it is so much deeper than a physical connection. They rewrote the definition of soulmates! I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

Grayson Lacroux is very spontaneous. He is the kind of guy you just can't help but fall in love with. While Parker Collins is a woman with a pure heart. She is just naturally beautiful inside and out. And together they have this amazing chemistry, wherein they just compliment one another. I like how their romantic relationship was not a love at first kind and that before they started being a couple they knew each other well for months therefore having a more deep understanding with one another. Furthermore, I love how Parker is a very relatable character in a way that she struggles with keeping her appearance clean due to her profession as being an actress and being truthful to herself. I guess this is relatable to majority of us since we struggle to be accepted by society that we forget who we are or we change ourself just to please other people. Also, I believe that everyone who reads this will be inspired by Parker due to her good in nature personality and her capability to love everyone around her. In addition, I also like the family dynamics in novel. It reminded me of my own family with me having five siblings, so I know how crazy and fun it can be. My only problem with this book is that the ending was rushed. I guess I was enjoying myself too much that I did not want the story to end. In general, this book has been a great read. It was sweet, steamy, funny and it will really swoon you of your feet. Melissa Foster did a great job in creating this amazing story and characters. I cannot to wait to read more of her books.

always talk about how amazing the characters are in Melissa Foster’s books and Parker and Grayson are no exception. They are absolutely wonderful. Not perfect, not fatally flawed, just normal and real people. The kind of people you want to be friends with, the kind of people you see on the street, and the kind of people that deserve to find happiness. In Seaside Lovers, as with the rest of the series, Melissa Foster does an amazing job describing the settings. From the media room that Grayson finds Parker drowning her sorrows in to the elevator that they take to visit Abe every place is described in such clarity that I could truly picture where the book was taking place. I could see the cliff where Grayson really kissed Parker for the first time. My favorite type of book to read is one that sees to play like a movie while I read it. Seaside Lovers does exactly that. This is part of the Love in Bloom series and the spin off series of Seaside Summers. Yet it is truly a standalone book. The characters appear in each other’s books but each book is its own story. Melissa Foster does a magnificent job of letting the reader know just enough background of the other characters and who belongs to who that if you pick up a book out of order you can enjoy the story. I definitely recommend checking out Seaside Lovers right away.

Gosh! I am in love again. Grayson is a talented artist who signed on to work for Parker on the family home. Grayson thinks there is more than meets the eye with Parker. Parker is pretty much on a mourning binge with the loss of a close loved one. Parker has two sides... the glossy, sweet one for the public and the passionate and somewhat confrontational side. The thing is No matter where you are, instinct always tells you to go home. Why? Home is where the heart is! Let me say these two have heart. As with Melissa's other books, there is always a spark that leads to a flame, that erupts to a bonfire. Seaside Lovers is no exception.

I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own. This is book 7 in the Seaside Summer series and book 30 in the love in bloom series from Melissa Foster. As will all the books this can be read as a stand alone, but come on you just seriously need to read all the books! Seaside Lovers is all about Grayson Lacroux and I have been dying to get back to the wonderful Seaside Series. Most of the Seaside series has been about the family and friendship of a great bunch of girls, but this one focuses on Grayson Lacroux and Parker Collins. Grayson is your hunky (as usual ;) )hero in this story, he is an artist or rather sculptor and Parker could not be any more different as she is an actress. They have been emailing each other for the best part of a year and finally meet when she in town mourning the death of her friends and mentor Bert. Grayson walks in on her doing a tequila binge, and realises just how much she has impacted his heart over the last year. The chemistry and romance between them just seems so natural since they practically know each other via all the emailing they have been doing. This is yet another great story from Melissa and I honestly don't know how she does it. Seaside is a series that make you fall in love with every single character all over again when they pop into the story.

I know I've said this before about Melissa Foster's books, but this is by far my favorite! Parker and Grayson couldn't be more different on the surface, but through their emails about Grayson's work they start to have feelings for each other. Parker has come back to Wellfleet to bury herself in her grief, and Grayson is shocked to discover her hiding away from the world. As Grayson tries to help Parker through her grief, she learns to love a simple life and the Seaside group that we know and love. Because Parker is a major star she feels like she always has to put on a public persona, and Grayson helps to show her that she can live her life for herself, and find love. But can their fledgling relationship survive the real world? This book continues with the wonderful Seaside Gang that we love, including their babies. It's so fun to watch this group continue to grow. However, this book is definitely HOT! Hotter than many of the other Seaside books, so be aware in advance. And enjoy the elevator scene... This book is part of a series, but it can definitely be read as a stand alone novel. However, I definitely recommend reading them all. Mrs. Foster is amazing! I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

I’ve read many of Melissa Foster’s books and Seaside Lovers does not disappoint. While a self-professed mountain girl, I love the sea in these books. I could never give up my love of the mountains but this location – and many of the locations in Foster’s books – come in close seconds. Parker and Grayson go together so well. I understand why Parker thinks twice at first. Her career is on the other side of the country. While Grayson is currently working in different locations for a contract with Parker’s foundation, he is a family man and being away from his brother and their business and their friends is not what Parker thinks he wants. As is the case with all the Love in Bloom series, this book is a great standalone. While I have read others and recognize characters, it is not imperative to have read previous books in the series to understand what is going on between Parker and Grayson. I definitely recommend you pick up Seaside Lovers and maybe the rest of the Love in Bloom books. This book would make a great beach read this summer. I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

I just love this book and the whole series, I have reread it many of times and every time the magic is there. Melissa has a way of making you feel like you are right there in the story with the characters. There is a twist in the middle end of the book and I never saw it coming and I was in shock just as much as the main female character. Melissa really knows how to capture you emotions better and better as the books come out. My favorite quote was definitely a funny part of the story and hopefully gets you hooked and want to read it is this " LUCE when we are in the elevator, where are his hands."??????????

Although some of the love passages are definitely not for anyone but adults the story itself will have you alternately reaching for tissues and sometimes even grinning like a fool. Parker grew up in the foster system having lost her Mom when she was 1 year old. After working for a bit she meets up with an older gentleman who takes her under his wing and acts as a surrogate father. As an accomplished actress she was traveling on location when he died suddenly--she was devastated. Grayson, the architect she had hired to build a railing at the home she had built for children who had none of their own, showed up. And the rest is history! Christmas, Parkers big goofy lovable dog manages to get his share of attention!! There is a sub ending that will make you believe in miracles and an ending that will put a smile on your face.

4 stars There is not a Melissa Foster book that I have read that I have not loved. She is my go to author when I want to read contemporary romance. Seaside Lovers was another fantastic book. This one is about an actress named Parker and an artist named Greyson. Parker and Greyson have been metaling back and forth about work she would like done on a center she is building. When Park looses someone very close to her, she is in a very dark place, but being in the spotlight makes it hard for her to mourn without a camera in her face taking photos. So, Parker heads to Seaside and hides. She also drinks. cried and eats lots of chocolate. Checking on the home, Greyson is surprised to stumble upon Parker in the dark. He is taken back by finding her there. When he learns why, he is sadden and knows he needs to coot her. Sparks fly with these too, They have such great chemistry. I love reading about people falling in love. And Parker falls in love with Greyson and his family. She loves Seaside, and he people that are in it. It is such a great story about a girl who has nothing, family wise, finding out there is a lot of people out there that a re now becoming her family. They might not be blood related, but they love her the same. This story made me laugh and cry and fall in love as well. I fell in love with more characters thanks to Melissa Foster!!! 1 like ·

Every time I read one of Melissa’s books, I think that I found my favorite man and that there is no man better out there. And then I pick up the next book in the series and I am proven wrong. Grayson… oh Grayson. Such a handsome, loving, caring, selfless man. He was everything Parker needed. Parker. Miss Parker. Miss Polly. Miss Parker Polly. Such a wonderful and messed up woman. My heart ached for her from the very start. I understood heart ache. I felt the pain of her upbringing. I felt her confusion on who she was. I felt her love, compassion and empathy. Grayson and Parker are perfect for each other – he is exactly who she needs and my favorite people at Seaside are exactly the people and friend she needs too! I love catching up with the Seaside crew and I love how loving and open and caring they are. I love the characters that Melissa pairs together and their stories – oh their stories. I wasn’t sure anything could top Boyd, but Grayson is right up there with him. I highly recommend that if you enjoy our romances, the Seaside series is a great series to get into. The books can all be read alone, but they are so much more enjoyable when read together!

Another amazing Melissa Foster book! Yay! I was so excited to read it because I have fallen in love with all Melissa Foster books. Her writing style draws you in and makes it feel so realistic and like you are part of the story. So really does her homework when she writes these books. Seaside Lovers was a fun book that kept you interested from the first page. Grayson and Parker have the sweetest love story! I love how sweet and caring Grayson is and how much he takes care of Parker. They are so magnetic and just drawn to each other. They are each other's ying and yang. Parker has been on her own and taking care of herself forever but dreams of a normal life with a family and friends even though she has it all; money, fame and living a dream life. Grayson just fits into her life like a missing piece of a puzzle she didn't know was missing. She had a tough life but now she is a famous actress and has everything except what she really wants. Grayson is that dream guy that a lot of girls long for. He is sexy, hard worker, family man, and listens to every detail so he can give Parker everything she ever wants. I couldn't get enough and even when I was finished with the book I wanted more! Definitely a amazing book and I definitely recommend it to anyone who loves romance books.

Another amazing addition to the seaside series.. After losing her good friend, father figure and the only family she has ever known.. Parker Collins heads home, to Wellfleet to mourn him, away from the public eye.. The home she built for the Collins children's foundation.. Drowning her sorrows in Tequila, chocolate and horror movies, their last thing she expects is the gorgeous, Grayson Lacroux to turn up.. Grayson is designing the artwork for CCF and have been e-mailing each other for the last 10 months.. Their connection sends sparks flying.. Grayson finds he wants to help her out of her dark place, he can't stand to see her hurting, it's breaking his heart... The more time they spend together, the harder they fall for each other.. This is a beautiful, heart warming story, that gets you pulse racing and makes you breathless, like only Melissa Foster can..
