Overview

Emma Woodin is a woman of routine with strong core values instilled by her parents who raised her on a small farm in rural Litchfield County, Connecticut. After college, she moved out and bought a cute house only twenty minutes from her parents and just as close to the elementary school where she teaches third grade. When she found out that the man who she thought was going to propose to her was actually married, Emma decided to put dating on hold and focus on her career since she seemed to have poor judgement when it came to available men. But that all changes when Jake, the veterinarian, with a southern accent moves into the house next door.

Sparks fly instantly between them and turn Emma's routine upside-down in the nick of time since watching her every move, memorizing her routine is the wife of the man she had been dating. Charlotte had known her husband was cheating on her and as much as she wanted to hate him, she turned her despise on Emma, the woman who kept her from what she wanted most, a baby. Charlotte wanted revenge; she wanted Emma to suffer as much as she had without her husband ever finding out. But Charlotte hadn't planned on a new neighbor.

Her career in hospitality ended during the pandemic but her love of people and cooking led her down the path she pursues now, owning her own fudge and ice cream shop.
