Great storyline about unconditional love Bowie exhibits to his newly found autistic year old brother. Loved Kat immediately. Couldn't wait for her to have her HEA. Highly recommend this book. Mjw

A well written and heartwarming story that made me smile and touched my heart. Ms. Thayne knows how to pull the readers into a story, like always, I enjoyed the visit to Haven Point immensely. The story tells about Katrina Bailey, Bowie Callahan and his young brother Milo. This story had more of a Woman's Lit feeling with romantic touches, as most of the tale focused on Kat's relationship with Milo, and his development as an autistic child. Bowie is a very charismatic and charming character. I found it easy to like him and relate to him. He is way over his head with the challenging younger brother whom he has just found out about. But he is trying, he really is. Of course, at the same time several problems at his work are demanding his attention, and he is stressed out to the max. Bowie does what he can to make Milo's life as easy and successful as possible. I admired his dedication, his generosity, kindness, and honesty. His obvious attraction towards Kat was passionate and endearing. Milo just stole my heart. I loved every single scene where he was a part of. I have been very happy to read several stories lately with an autistic child as part of the plot. I believe it is important to bring the attention and information forward. Kat comes off as a rather prickly person. At the beginning of the story, she was judgmental towards everyone around her. I understand she was doing something wonderful with the adoption, but her thoughts reflected at times like she thought that made her somehow better than the rest. She is stubborn and opinionated, yet she has a kind, caring, protective heart towards those she takes under her wing. The character development with Kat is remarkable through the story. She finds herself, finds a balance between the past and the present and learns to accept the issues with her childhood regarding her mother. I would have liked to see the relationship developing between Kat and Bowie since now they mostly avoided each other through the couple short weeks Kat was taking care of Milo. The story is clean, there are few ardent kisses between Bowie and Kat, resulting them staying apart each time. The strongest connection in the story is developing between Milo and Kat, and I could not help but wonder if part of the 'feelings' Bowie was having towards Kat were because of her ability to center Milo and understand his needs. The story does have satisfying ending leaving a lot of the progress with the romantic relationship to the imagination of the reader. A heartfelt and encouraging story of life in the small town, growing up to be the person we are supposed to be regardless of our past. It's about family, life, and learning to love, doing the right thing by inspiring to use our resources to make a difference whenever possible. With each visit to the Haven Point, I take home a life lesson, something that I am left to ponder. When those lessons are delivered with an adorable, emotional story of living and loving, you can't help but admire the storytelling talent of the author. ~ Four Spoons with a teaspoon on the side

There is a new book in the Haven Point series by RaeAnne Thayne! I love love love this lady's books and this series is so awesome. I couldn't wait to get my hands on Serenity Harbor and I devoured it quickly after I did. This book is RaeAnne Thayne at her best. It's a classic example of her talent and wonderful way with a story that touches your heart. Bowie Callahan has recently discovered he has a little brother. Not only does he have an adorable little brother that has special needs he now has custody of his little brother. A Major change in Bowie's life. Bowie is a great guy. He's kind, giving, smart, and really wants to help his little brother. He just isn't sure how to do that. Until he meets Katrina Bailey at the grocery store. She is excellent with his brother and knows just what to do. Katrina Bailey is home for her sister's wedding. She doesn't expect to meet a little boy and his big brother in the grocery store and end up with a job. Katrina is awesome with Milo. She knows just what to do to keep this little boy busy and to handle his bad moments. Katrina and Bowie don't start off on the best of levels. They have a deep attraction to each other and it's not long and a friendship develops between these two. They are an excellent team when it comes to Milo. I loved the interaction between these two with Milo is so special. It just made my heart feel good. Kat is set to go back to South America after her sister's wedding. She has started the process to adopt a little girl that also needs special needs. The money that Bowie is going to pay her for taking care of Milo is certainly going to help with the expenses. Serenity Harbor is a deep, heartfelt story that is full of emotion, sweet romance, friends, family, and love. I loved the chance to catch up with my friends in Haven Point and see how everyone was doing. It was so nice to see Wyn and Cade's wedding. This is the sixth book in the Haven Point series. It will stand just fine on it's own though if you haven't had a chance to read the previous books in the series. However they are all FABULOUS reads so you may want to pick up a few of them when you grab this one. If you enjoy a story that is going to tug at your heart, make you shed a tear or two, romance that is incredibly sweet, friendships that are ever lasting, and family that sticks together through thick and through thin, then YOU are going to LOVE Serenity Harbor. I was given the opportunity to read this fabulous book and it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you.

Serenity Harbor is pure sweetness and heart shared in an amazingly loving story. The location is perfect for the story of Bowie, Milo, and Katrina. There is so much need, love, hurt, and fear within the relationship of these three. Each character, even little Milo, have their own history to work through. Bowie and Milo have to deal with the loss of their mother and the rough starts on life she gave each of them. Katrina is dealing with her bad boyfriend choices and the hopes of adopting her daughter. Katrina is my hero. She takes it upon herself to reach out to a little boy who is obviously struggling with life and make his life so much better. She has the patience and understanding to know what Milo needs and how to reach out to him. Katrina could take a breakdown and turn it around with just a few words. The best part of the story for me is seeing Milo come out of his shell and become more involved in life. Serenity Harbor is an easy book to read. I fell into the story and didn’t want to come back out. I could feel the love of the town, the townspeople, the families, and Bowie and Katrina. I recommend picking up your own copy. Thank you Katie Olsen at Little Bird Publicity for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

I won a copy of this book from the author. I was not required to give a favorable review. This is a beautiful story. Katrina was a elementary school teacher who had decided to take some time and had traveled with her then boyfriend to South America so he could climb mountains, but ended up alone after 3 months but while there she started teaching English as a second language and started volunteering at a local orphanage where she fell in love with a little girl named Gabriela. Gabi was 4 years old, down syndrome and would need to have medical things done that the orphanage would never be able to do financially. So she had decided that she wanted to adopt her. She was back in Serenity Harbor for her older sisters wedding. While shopping with her best friend Samantha that ran into the new single guy in town. Sam left to get her mother's prescription and while Katrina was watching Bowie, the little boy he was with started having a meltdown. Kat realized he might have a bit of Autism, and steps in to help. Which ends up with her get a job offer that would financially be able to help her get Gabi back to the states. I love the interaction of the characters and how Kat brings a little boy to be able to tolerate people around him and start speaking until a Autism Specialist is able that had to be arranged to help. Milo is Bowie's little brother he knew nothing about until a month before. It was hard to put this book down.

Serenity Harbor is a book that will pull at your heartstrings!! RaeAnne is so wonderful when writing about the experiences with special needs children. Having a child with special needs myself, I understand the difficulties and joys that one will experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole book. My favorite part is when Milo, who is a child with autism, spoke for the first time. It brought tears to my eyes. I absolutely love this series!

Check out the full review at Kritters Ramblings The next in the Haven Point series and with each read in this series I love it more and more. This episode centers around Bowie Callahan who has moved to Haven Point to work for Caine Tech a company that he has worked for since its founding and he has a big reason - his half brother Milo to live there in a small quiet town. Katrina Bailey is from a prominent family in Haven Point and has come home for a wedding, but is determined to return to Columbia.

This book tells us about a little boy of 6 whose parent neglected him and then passed away leaving word he should go to a grown sibling who doesn't even know he exists. And he's autistic. Facts regarding autism are real. I know.

It was fun returning to Haven Point for Bowie and Kat’s story. I enjoyed catching up on some of the characters from previous stories, too. Although it’s part of a series, Serenity Harbor can be read as a stand-alone book. RaeAnne Thayne is a pro at capturing the feel of a small town and creating realistic, endearing characters to populate the town. I loved that this story included physically challenged people and the caring hearts to help them. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Wow! What can I say....a fantastic story that had me hooked from the very beginning. It had me laughing, crying and believing that good things can still happen in this crazy world. I love Haven Point and the wonderful and colorful people. I could hardly put the book down because I kept wanting to read what happened next. RaeAnne Thayne is an excellent author that knows how to spin a story that keeps you interested. Can't wait for the next one.

Katrina Bailey was an elementary school teacher but took a leave from her job to follow her boyfriend to South America. When things didn't work out, she found herself stranded there. She started teaching English in Colombia and met a child with Down Syndrome in an orphanage. The two bonded and Kat was trying to adopt the little girl. She planned to return to Haven Point with her. Kat has to return to Haven Point without Gabi to tend to her maid of honor duties for her sister, Wynona's, wedding. The attorney she has been using in Colombia has been asking for more money to handle the adoption. After she steps in and helps Bowie Callahan handle his younger brother's meltdown in the grocery store, Bowie offers her a job as Milo's nanny for the three weeks until the wedding and her subsequent return to Colombia. How can she refuse $12,000 for three weeks of work with a darling little boy who is on the Autism Spectrum? Bowie has just found out that his little brother even exists and now he is the boy's guardian. He is totally out of his comfort zone and desperately needs Katrina's help. The story, of course has conflict, but shows these children with special needs in such a warm way. It was such a joy to read. I received the book in exchange for an honest review. I have never read a RaeAnne Thayne book I did not like and this one did not disappoint.

This is the 6th book in the Haven Point series by RaeAnne Thayne and like the other books in the series this book did not disappoint with its catchy, heartwarming story and well developed characters. In regards to the well developed characters I really felt like RaeAnne did a great job of giving you enough back story on the characters that you felt like you knew them but not too much where it was over done. In addition to the well developed characters I really enjoyed the story that RaeAnne chose to tell with this book. It was very interesting to read the interactions that Katrina had with the other main character Bowie but also with his half brother, Milo who had autism. I always enjoy reading stories like this because it gets away from the typical contemporary romance stories that are out there and dives more into who a family works and the struggles that people go through. Lastly, I enjoyed how RaeAnne was able to intertwine previous main characters in her books into this one so that you can catch up on their stories along with reading about this new one. Highly recommend this book to readers who enjoy contemporary romance or romance in general.

Another winner in the Haven Point Series. Katrina Bailey has returned home to Serenity Harbor after a year in South America. She came for her sister, Wynona's, wedding. Shopping for Wynonas shower with her best friend Samantha Fremont is going quite as planned. Sam has a new crush, again! Bowie Callhan, the new Director of Research and Development for Caine Tech, is as good looking as Sam said. But why is her friend interested in a divorced dad? Sam swears she was told Bowie wasn't married and had no family. Then who is the child about to have a melt down in the middle of the store? Bowie has been handed a huge responsiblity after the death of his mother. She named him guardian for a half brother he did not know existed. Milo is a special needs child. Katrina who is a teacher recognizes this and her natural instincts kick in as she gets on the floor with Milo and helps calm the situation. Bowie asks Katrina to be temporary caregiver for Milo. It doesn't take long for her to become attached to the child. Bowie begins to wonder about Katrina, why she left teaching and went to South American a year ago. Why is she planning to return to Columbia as soon as Wynona is married? Katrina opens up to Bowie, sharing a picture of her daughter, Gabriela, whose adoption is almost final. That is why she has to return to Columbia. Gabi is also a special needs child. Katrina learns her petition to adopt Gabi is being denied for missing deadlines to provide information. Will this work out. Will Bowie and Katrina be together. Despite the adoption snafu and challanges, will they make a family along with Milo and Gabi?

In Serenity Harbor by RaeAnne Thayne, we are once again visiting the wonderful town of Haven Point. Bowie Callahan is a sexy, sweet, computer genius who has overcome a horrible childhood and, now, has custody of his adorable, challenging brother, Milo. Katrina Baily is a former, flighty flirt who has fallen in love with an adorable, orphaned, little girl named Gabi with special needs.
Kat has a warmth and re pour with Milo that Bowie envies. He needs Kat to help him reach Milo but he also needs her for himself. Kat has put aside everything in her life to become Gabi's mother but she also has deep feelings for Bowie.
Kat and Bowie must struggle with their love for the children in their lives and their love and desire for one another. Both feel they have something to prove to themselves and the children in their lives.
Thayne creates wonderful, endearing, complex characters in her novels that make you long to know them better. She creates warm, friendly, enchanting towns you want to live in. I can't get enough of RaeAnne Thayne's towns and her endearing characters. I loved Serenity Harbor and I know you will too. I can't recommend RaeAnne Thayne's sweet romances enough!!!

I absolutely loved Serenity Harbor. It's an utterly RaeAnne Thayne classic with lots of heartwarming, touching scenes that will leave you tearing and warm and fuzzy inside. I love how RaeAnne Thayne always put in lessons that we all can learn in her stories. Milo is an endearing child and you just can't help but root for him. This is definitely one of my most favorite book of RaeAnne Thayne and I loved being brought back to Haven Point once again. Can't wait to read more in this series.

Was so excited to return to Haven Point with this story of two people who found each other through unexpected mutual need. Bowie is a workaholic that needs help with his newly discovered half brother, Milo. Katrina is a teacher that enters his life quite by accident, she realizes Bowie is clueless on how to cope with the challenges that Milo presents. She has returned home for her sister's wedding and begrudgingly accepts a nanny position for Milo to earn much needed money she needs to adopt a young girl from Colombia. It was a treat to watch their story unfold as they found their way to each other and how young Milo enriched both their lives. This is another winner from RaeAnne Thayne and I definitely recommend it!

I love Bowie, Katrina and especially Milo. Bowie and Katrina have so much to learn about love and they both learned quickly. Milo is a good teacher. Katrina also learned a lot from a little girl named Gabi, a little girl she wants to adopt. Now that Bowie has Milo, he has to realize there is more to life than work. When he meets Katrina, he realizes there are many more things he wants out of life.

Great Summer Read! I look forward to every visit to Haven Point and RaeAnne Thayne's newest "Serenity Harbor" does not disappoint. Such a heart-warming sweet story of two unlikely personalities meeting... in a grocery store no less! Just the idea made me smile, turn the page, and keep reading past my bed time. Bo and Kat bring you a charming story of how two people from different worlds can open one's heart and mind, learn from one another and create a loving, happy ever after. I always love the inclusion of families, children and small towns in these stories. This is yet another great one from RaeAnne Thayne, perfect read for a summer afternoon.

Katrina Bailey is home for her sister Wynona's wedding. Samantha Freemont is with her at the supermarket. Sam points out the current object of interest, Bowie Callahan. Bowie has a child with him that is a total surprise to Sam. Katrina literally meets Bowie in the produce section where his little brother, Milo, is winding up for a full-blown meltdown. Katrina is a teacher and steps in to avert diaster. Bowie makes Katrina an offer she cannot turn down. Haven Point is an ideal small town. The people have their share of problems. The town comes together to help each other. I can picture the town and people in my mind. I love the humor, the conflicts, the setting and the love that develops. It is a book you do not want to put down until you have read the last page. The last page is tough because you know you will have to wait to return to Haven Point!

Two lost souls collide and make a magical connection in this feel-good romance from RaeAnne Thayne! I didn't think I could love Haven Point any more than I already did from past books, but this one tops it all. There's sadness and tears, there's fear mixed with hope, there's a sweet connection of weak with strong. A fabulous story all the way around!  Tech millionaire Bowie Callahan might have made it to the big time in his career, but he never expected to find himself guardian to a little brother he didn't even know he had at this point in his life! He's recently moved to Haven Point and is trying to get settled, now with this wrench thrown into his plans, he could really use some help! Schoolteacher Katrina Bailey happens to run into Bo and his little brother and isn't happy at all with how she sees Bowie handling things with his sibling. She doesn't like the man at first sight, but she finds herself agreeing to a temporary job just to ease his little brother's transition! She might not want to be around the guy, but the money will go a long way in helping her to adopt her own little cherub! It surprises her to find that Bo is actually a nice guy once she gets settled in with them and gets to know him a little. Will the attraction they quickly have for each other cause a problem in their working relationship, or will they decide to act on it and see where this thing goes?

RaeAnne Thayne has done it again. Serenity Harbor is a great book with a heartwarming story about strength and love. This story hits very close to my heart since I have a son with a form of Autism. I love how Kat recognizes the problems Milo has and is able to communicate with him. She is also able to help Bowie find a way to communicate with Milo too. They work thru lots of ups and downs to find a happy ever after for all of them. This is a very touching story. You really must read this book to understand all the emotions. This is the best book in this series so far. I loved seeing all the folks in Haven Point and meeting the new comers in the community. I am looking forward to more great stories from Haven Point.

Serenity Harbor by RaeAnne Thayne A Haven Point Novel. I love this series and this book is my favorite. It catches your attention with a bang and a Wow! experience. To me Bowie and Katrina's story is so heartwarming and a little boy "Milo" will just melt your heart. And in Haven Point miracles do happen. Truly a keeper to be read many times and fall in love with all of Haven Point. You will not be disappointed!

Serenity Harbor is a wonderful summer read that will leave you with all the feels. Bowie Callahan is in a bind with his newly discovered little brother who happens to have Autism. Katrina Bailey is just the person to teach Bowie and his brother Milo a few lessons on life and love! If you are looking for a smutty beach read, Serenity Harbor is not the book for you. However if you are looking for well written and heart felt, you should definitely let Ms. Thayne take you back to Haven Point; all the way to Serenity Harbor. I feel it would be easy to sensationalize Milo's Autism, but RaeAnne Thayne created a wonderful little boy who will grab readers by the heart and not let go. Bowie is written exactly how I would perceive anybody in his situation (unsure, wary, and completely lost). Katrina is a likable character, but tends to negativity and self depreciation (at least in her own mind). Having said that, it's easy to overlook both Katrina and Bowie's flaws given their histories and the concern they both have for Milo. Gabi plays a huge part in the story w/out really being around; I hope that in future visits to Haven Point that she is able to have a more active role. Serenity Harbor is the type of book that you can freely read in front of your children, or recommend to any reader who isn't looking for highly sexed and violent. The characters are all warm, loving people who look out for one another and genuinely care about their neighbors. With the turmoil in the world today there is no better time to step into a book filled with love from the very first page!

This newest addition in the Haven Point series is written with pure heart. The title says it all. What better location than Serenity Harbor for Bowie Callahan to live with his newly discovered six-year-old half-brother, Milo. Hiring Katrina as his nanny for the next three weeks so that he can get used to a new life with his brother turns out to be a godsend in more ways than one. Balancing work and family is quite the challenge for him. I loved this book and know in my heart that this is very near and dear to the author. What a beautiful, loving story!
