About the Author

Shelly Lockett is a native of Kansas City. She's been running for Jesus a long time after having a personal Damascus road experience that solidified her disposition as a pugilist for Jesus. She has a Bachelor's degree in accounting with an emphasis in psychology & marketing from Rockhurst University and obtained an MBA in Accounting from Avila University. She received her Evangelism license from CH Mason Bible Institute of Kansas East Jurisdiction of the C.O.G.I.C. Before becoming an author, she was an accountant for 20 years and owned and operated Lockett Accounting Solutions. Shelly attends Trinity Temple Church of God In Christ in Grandview, Missouri, part of the MO Western 2nd Jurisdiction of the C.O.G.I.C, where she is an E-Church Assistant Pastor under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Benjamin Stephens, III and Supervisor Dr. Latonya Stephens. Married to Deacon Jeffrey Lockett, Shelly has three handsome adult sons, Marcus, Juwan, and Javon, one daughter-in-love Brae, and three beautiful grandchildren, Daniel, Jai and Kamryn. She has an infectious sense of humor, believes in the whole Bible, and tries to exemplify it to all she meets. After the Holy Spirit ordered her to write Sharpen Your Sword: 50 Inspirational Parables to Make It in Life, she leaped out on faith. Many life lessons led to this book. Shelly desires to do the Great Commission of God by inspiring others through this book to gain and maintain a balanced Christian life and to help more find the pathway to Heaven.
