About the Author

John was born and raised in Manhattan. He graduated from Harvard in 1980. Since then, he has become an avid outdoor enthusiast, travelling the world with his wife in search of adventures and new experiences with the world of nature. John has held a number of international positions with government agencies focusing on helping third world nations and their people.

John is an avid environmentalist and devotes much of his time and energy to enhancing wildlife habitat and to wildlife rescue.

John currently lives in New Mexico with his wife, Mary, six horses, a large Akita named "Mozart" and two black labrador retrievers.
