I rediscovered shrink plastic a couple of years ago and have been having so much fun crafting with it. As a Contributing Editor for Country Living magazine, my very first feature was a charm bracelet crafted from shrink plastic. As crafters and jewelry designers begin to embrace shrink plastic, we are finding that good information, current techniques and unique ideas haven't been that easy to come by. So I am really excited about the release this new book that explores not only easy, inexpensive, and beautiful accessories that can be created from shrink plastic, but also gives valuable information, great techniques, important resources (and a few fun surprises) I’ve yet to find anywhere else. The author, Kathy Sheldon, contacted me regarding a shrink plastic jewelry craft I shared on my blog and requested that I design a couple of new pieces for the book. I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of this exciting new resource for crafters and jewelry designers of all skill levels and ages with over 30 unique step-by-step projects from multiple talented designers. I was very excited to see that this title was released early on Nook so we could enjoy it now before the paperback release. Kathy’s writing style is fun, friendly and extremely clear, a perfect fit for the subject matter. Each project is beautifully photographed. You’ll be surprised at the range of jewelry styles you can create with shrink plastic from whimsical to casual to elegant. Cathe Holden JustSomethingIMade.com
