Overview

Shy Girls Write It Better by May Sage

Cassie Franklin trips over nothing on perfectly flat surfaces every day, and she cannot seem to be able to simultaneously speak and look into her audience's eyes.

Cassandra Frank is the ultimate tease; her words have aroused, intrigued and captured the heart of thousands...

And somehow, they are the same person.

Hiding the fact that she writes erotica isn't much of a challenge - no one would ever think that a plain, boring little accountant like Cassie could so much as read anything so scandalous...

But one day, she makes a huge mistake.

Carter Harris employs so many people he can't exactly recall all their names, but strangely, he knows her. She isn't an executive, she isn't sexy, or otherwise noticeable, but the girl is cute - in a helpless, unique sort of way.

He can't pretend to say she ever crosses his mind, though... Until the day he finds the manuscript she worked on during her lunch hour.

Some girls do it is a series of adult romance with explicit content. Expect standalone novellas about different couples from the same group of friends, each of them ending on a happily for now note. There won't be another book about any of the couples.

Well this started off pretty good. Cassie was just adorably clumsy and just plain sweet. Her character was subdued but fierce at the same time and not in an annoying way. The buildup and subsequent relationship between her and Carter was super cute, but then the book just abruptly ends! One minute Carter and Cassie are having breakfast and the next he's ending a previous entanglement and talking about marrying Cassie...then nothing! It was such a huge fu*king letdown! SR

Likeable characters, cute story line. Language was a bit rough at times and didnt fit the situation. Too short with very abrupt ending. A suggestion for the writer...find a better proofreader. Editing errors were annoying and ruined the flow occasionally.

There was great chemistry between the characters and I loved their sassiness, but it ended without warning. I actually had to flip back to the previous page when I reached the end because I thought I missed some pages.

This book was very, very short but it was sooo good. The characters were likeable. Not overly sexual. A few proofreading errors and very abrupt ending but still loved it nonetheless. I'd recommend it for a quick, sweet read.

Wish it were longer but I loved everything about it. I almost choked on grapes because I was laughing so hard.

You always wonder about the real persons writting the romance novels we all love. Most of us expect our author's to be confident kiss ass women. This book shows that even the most shy and efficient accountant has hidden depths. The light hearted romp is thoroughly enjoyable.

It's true.....shy girls do write it better. At first I didn't know what to expect. I was hooked at the moment of her being a undercover of sorts writer.

The other books in the series look interesting but I don't want to risk getting stuck with another "book" like this one.

I really liked the story but it needed more at the end. What happened to them and Cassie's response to being fired. Also, spell check.

Would have given 4 stars if the story didn't leave you with a sort of cliffhanger. Book held my interest. Quick easy read with a HEA. Would have liked a longer book.

Wonderful book by May Sage. Can't get enough of her writing. Her characters are entertaining, fun and sexy. The story is about Carter, CEO of his company and Cassie a "lowly" employee. Carter noticed Cassie from the first time he saw her. There was a mutual attraction from the beginning but Cassie was extremely shy and Carter didn't do relationships. And he sensed that Cassie was the type of woman that would not do casual flings. Everything was fine until one day Cassie grabbed the wrong folder, leaving behind her manuscript of her latest erotic novel. Carter found it and he had a whole new opinion of Cassie.

I felt it was very well written. I could tell from the beginning Carter and Cassandra were going to get together. It was amazing to see a woman who could balance her passion and a day job.

Cassie was such a cutie - shy, able to trip on air and refreshing in her honesty. Bored at work and having too much time on her hands because her supervisor won't give her enough work she writes "mommy porn". When the CEO of the company accidentally gets her book printout instead of the contract he expected he's surprised that such a shy woman could write so explicitly. He's intrigued and offers to help her with some details. A cute story, but I must agree it read better without the profanity. Which shows that the foul language added nothing good to the story. I also agree that the ending was abrupt. Will this story be continued and at what cost? Will it conclude in one more book or be dragged out for more?

Writing style: Dual POVs •*¨*• I read to this one roughly 6 weeks ago or so. I liked the premise, and overall, I enjoyed how this office romance played out. The mix up with the folders that resulted in Carter getting a printed copy of Cassie’s romance work in progress was a nice touch. Carter’s reaction to the content was even better. It’s a quick read, and a nice light yet sexy story. •*¨*• Coming up next in this series: I’m not interested in the premise of standalone book 2, but I liked Carter’s assistant Lucy enough to be intrigued by how her love story evolves in Bring on the Psychob[----] (Some Girls Do It, Book 3).

This is the first book I've read from the author. Entertaining and sweet for a short read. Wish it was longer to help develop the characters a little more but overall a good story. Will look for more books by this author.
