About the Author

Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, Darlene relocated to Arizona in 2015. Arizona was the perfect place because everybody knows that you don’t have to shovel sunshine.
She loves people and life which gave her the idea to draft this book. She started dabbling in writing many years ago while working the night shift at the hospital. Her audience and her critics were her peers, and they encouraged her to continue writing. In addition to writing, she loves to bake, crochet, and socialize with family and friends.
Although the characters are fictional, the story is based on everyday occurrences. This is her first book, and she is very proud of her accomplishment. She hopes that you enjoy it.
