About the Author

Cam was born in Melbourne, Australia and emigrated to the UK with his mother, June, at the age of seven. It was during this emigration that Cam’s fascination with aviation developed, and after completing his compulsory schooling, secured himself a job at Manchester Airport as a baggage handler. It was here his interest in aviation grew.

Upon reaching his late teens, Cam returned to Melbourne to live with his father, Graeme, and in 2004, signed up to the Royal Australian Air Force to become an aircraft avionics technician.
Cam served in the RAAF for the next 7 years before parting ways with the defence force to progress his career with a defence aircraft maintenance contractor as a Technical Services Officer. He has been there ever since.

Cam currently lives in the suburbs of Western Brisbane, Queensland, with his fiancé, Sarah, his daughter Olivia, and Sarah’s two sons, Ryan and Luke. Together they own two dogs and a parrot: Roxy, a Rhodesian Ridgeback x Bull Arab, Queenie, a Great Dane, and Rosie, an 11-year-old Eclectus parrot.
In his spare time, Cam plays guitar and is a devout follower of Formula One, MotoGP, and Manchester United. He was inspired to write by another Australian author: the best-selling, internationally acclaimed, Matthew Reilly.
