Especially enjoyed this one. Ruby is back at school and it's her senior year, she has new powers, a hot boyfriend, and everything is just perfect, or is it? She now has to put up with Brennan the body guard following her around all day to protect her and it should really piss her off but for some reason it doesn't. Then a fairy princess shows up, yes a real fairy princess, and all the boys including her boyfriend, can't take their eyes off of her. Her senior year was supposed to be wonderful but now it's not looking so good for Ruby. This is another rollicking adventure for Ruby, Jeremy, and the gang with a few new twists. This one is my favorite in the series so far. As Julie's writing gets better and better Rubys adventures get better and better. Really looking forward to the next in the series especially after the twist (which I really loved) at the end of this one. Go Ruby!

Fashizzilly Freakin' Fantabulous!!! I have to tell you that of this series this is my favorite book yet!! It just keeps getting better & better! As our beloved Jeremy would say "fashizzilly freakin' fantabulous"!! :D If you have not read the Ruby Blue series yet I sincerely suggest you do that. NOW! Seriously! You can't go wrong...it's got fairies, dragons, mermaids, & magic galore. But...either way this book is AMAZING! I have fallen to the depths of the sea for these characters & their story. =) I am totally hooked. Now I will most definitely be begging Julie for more more more on a daily basis until the next book is released. (You've been warned!) ;*} ~ Grá mo chroí go deo ~

I received this book from the author for an honest review. AMAZING!!! I fell in love with Ruby Blue back in Book 1 and thought oh my daughters are going to love this book! Then I read Deja Blue Book 2 and was blown away with the story line, the fullness of the characters, and the uniqueness of the content. I myself became a big fan of the Ruby Blue series and I couldn't wait for Sky Blue to come out! Well the long await is over and let me just tell you, it was so worth the wait!!! The Author once again brings to life the world of Ruby Blue and her friends in the most incredible continuation. We are able to witness life on a more personal side of the characters in their relationships, friendships and trust. There is even a new villain in this one or at least someone who is spurned and reeking havoc in the lives of everyone. But when you find out the real reasons behind the evil deeds, your socks will be blown across the room and you may just be smiling from ear to ear! I know I was! I am not going to give any spoilers or even hints as to what happens. Just know that you will love this book, you will not be disappointed and you will be left with a good feeling as once again this story has a beginning, a middle and an ending... yes you know there will be more to come but you will not be left unfulfilled while you wait for the next Book in the Ruby Blue series... you will have a nice warm comfortable feeling in your belly..kind of like magic.

So as much as I loved Ruby Blue and Deja Blue...Sky Blue was by far the best! Julie has come into her own with this latest installment! Ruby has had quite a summer! Sure she has seen fairies since she was young but after the battle with Sirrush and now finding herself immersed more in the world of Fey AND acquiring more powers it really is a lot for a teenager to handle! This book kept me on the edge of my seat! Being introduced to new fairies (Ka-Trampy!) and watching (well actually reading) as Ruby comes into her new powers plus the budding (or not so much?) romance with Nick (aka Mr Hotness) so many twists and turns! OH and btw I am TOTALLY Team Brennan lol TRUST me when I say this is a book worth reading! Havent read Ruby Blue or Deja Blue yet? Yeah you totally want to start with those!

Sky Blue is another fun-loving adventure with Ruby Blue and her friends. You begin the story with Ruby just getting back into school.  Brennan, one of her best friends and also the fairy prince starts up school with her to be her body guard. Annoyed by his presence, Ruby is questioning everything she’s ever felt for Brennan and the new emotions surging through her. She’s dating Mr. Hotness, so she doesn’t know what’s going on with her emotions! I loved the new character she brought in with the Sky Princess. The adventure takes you on a wild ride as you read. You’ll find yourself gut laughing at Jeremy! My favorite line was when he called Ruby’s car a  “road apple.” I had no idea what that meant until Ruby explains it in the book. Then I just started laughing really hard. If you need a fun story, something to make you chuckle at random times, and just an overall good series you will love these books! I really feel  attached to all the great character development that is going on and look forward to Forever Blue!!! Hurry Julie finish it!

I can sum this book up In the words of Jeremy "It's fashizzilly freakin fantabulous". Third book of the series and each one just gets better and better!! I laugh, I swoon, I 'm on the edge of my seat, it's awesome. The ending to this book was what I've secretly been hoping for since I started reading the series! As always, I adore Jeremy and love the phrases he spouts off! I'm making a mental list to use them in life. Zappadoodle, futher mucker marmalade madness, skank-ho hot mess in a gi-gah-munga can of nasty crack worms, and so on! I tend to make up phrases like this myself and only my husband and best friends can understand me so I relate so well to him! I bookmarked so many favorite spots in this book that I am not sure I left more than a few pages without bookmarks! I love all the pop culture references and nicknames for the main characters as well as the ones they use for some of the smaller characters. This series is a highly enjoyable YA fantasy. There are so many fantasy creatures involved in these books, each book introduces a new one and keeps things new and exciting. I am looking forward to Book 4. Now that I am all caught up, when it is released it goes to the top of my reading list no matter what! I must read more about Ruby, Jeremy, Anya, Nick and of course....Brennan. *swoon*.

Julie Cassar Sky Blue The Ruby Blue Series #3 This series will make you laugh, no matter what mood you are in. The first book was amazing, the second even better and somehow this one has just gone to a completely new level. Ruby, Jeremy, Brennan & Anya are back and can’t seem to go a few months without having to go on an adventure. Ruby definitely wasn’t expecting the final outcome of this one, but it just wants me to jump straight into the next book. I don’t want this series to ever end.

How can I start this review without screaming off the rooftops about how much I love this series! If you thought books 1 & 2 were amazing, you have no idea what this book will do to you. If I wasn't so afraid of scaring my poor, elderly cats to death, I would have ran through the house holding up my Kindle like I won the Kindle Lottery!! The twists and turns this book made blew me away!!! I wasn't expecting any of them! Go. Right now. Buy this book!

This book picks up on the last day of summer vacation with Ruby as the reluctant keeper of a journal. Why reluctant? Well, it's required by her English lit teacher and she sees no real point in keeping a journal. So she does what most girls would and complains to her journal about having to write in it. I was amused. On the upside, she's looking forward to her senior year of high school. What she doesn't know is that some major changes are coming her way. On the first day of school, Ruby is surprised when Brennan turns up. Even more surprising is his belief that someone is still out to hurt or kill her. He plans to stick tight to her side "like glue" until the person or persons threatening her are caught. It doesn't take long for Ruby to  realize Brennan means this literally. This creates the expected tension between Nick and Brennan with Ruby in the middle. Jeremy is back too, and more than excited that Brennan will be at school with them for the whole year. Even more so when he finds out he will be going to Fey with Ruby to attend the next major celebration. In spite of all the excitement, problems arise when a beautiful faerie turns up at school. Katrina's agenda may seem obvious, but as is usually the case, appearances are deceiving. I found this book much more interesting than the previous one. Cassar had a few surprises for me, such as the meaning behind the ring Brennan gave Ruby. Well done. That definitely explained the reason for Katrina's furious surprise when she learned about the ring. I enjoyed the way Brennan explained how his father hadn't lied when Brennan needed to live with Ruby's family for a while. For me, this was a fast-paced, quick read. There were places where I felt I knew the direction the story was heading, and in general, I was right. How the story got from "point A" to "point B" was well done, so I didn't really mind. I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Mrs Cassar has done it again. This third installment was by far the best yet. The growth in her writing from book 1 to book 3 is very impressive, and that's saying a lot as I absolutely thought book 1 was brilliant. But wow it just keeps getting better and better, as something Jeremy might say, It's Fantabulistic. This book has less action per se, but the emotional feel in this story more than makes up for the lack. This book took me on a roller coaster ride of emotion that was, dare I say it again...BRILLIANT! I had a hard time putting this book down and I bet you will too :) I can't wait to start book 4 to see what wonders Mrs Cassar has in store for us fans.

I absolutely LOVED this book! I think it's the best in the series, it keeps getting better and better. I could not stop reading it. The imagination of the author amazes me. There are so many really cool ideas that feel so new. I have said it before and I'll say it again. I would LOVE to see this series made into a movie. It would be right up there with HP and Twilight, in my opinion. I cannot WAIT for the next book to see where Ruby's journey goes next. I love the characters in the books so much, they feel so real and the details are just enough to make you be able to visualize everything, but not overdone to where you want to skip over parts. It's just perfect!!

This is the third book in The Ruby Blue Series. I "Fashizzilly Freakin' Fantabulous!!!" LOVED IT! Ruby Blue is a fantastic character. She is a typical teenager, full of angst and sarcasm, who loves ice cream and converse shoes. But she also is not so typical in that she can see fairies, and has begun to acquire powers courtesy of a dragon bite. In this story, we get to see Ruby trying to come to terms with her new abilities, and starting a new school year with a gorgeous hunk for a boyfriend, Nick. I was quickly sucked back into story and was happy to meet Nick, Jeremy, Brennan and Anya again. I was a bit disappointed that Anya was unable to be in the story as much, due to her royal duties. However, Brennan has a bigger presence in this story; I really liked this, as it gave me a chance to get to know him better. Jeremy is his usually flamboyant self; he had me giggling with his sayings (see above quote). There is also a new character introduced in the book. Her name is Katrina, but Ruby quickly re-names her Ka-Trampy, which actually suits this character's personality perfectly! She's not exactly a nice person either! There is action, drama and romance aplenty in this third book, with lots of twists and splashes of humour that made this book a pleasure to read! There is also a surprising twist near the end, which made me go (all soft and gooey) "Awww!". I am now looking forward to reading the fourth book in the series, Forever Blue, as soon as possible! Julie Cassar has written another amazing tale in this YA romance series. I am a massive fan of hers! This story is fast paced, and it flowed beautifully. I think that this YA series is one of the best I have read this year! I HIGHLY recommend this book (and series) if you love YA romances or fantasy genres. - Lynn Worton

goodreads... Something strange is brewing in Lake City… as the summer comes to a close, Ruby finds herself caught in a torrent of trouble when a stranger blows into town. Relationships are put to the test, lines are drawn and a choice is made when the ways of the Royal Sky Court rain down upon Ruby and the gang. Weathering through a storm of secrets, spells and yet another life-changing adventure… who will survive in its wake? Find out just what mysteries are revealed in this third, magical installment of the Ruby Blue Series! My take... School is back in session and Ruby couldn't be happier. It is her senior year and she is dating the hottest guy there. Life is good! Well, maybe not. Brennan is also starting school alongside Ruby to protect her at all times. The threat against her life is still ongoing. So, until they find out who wants Ruby dead, he is here to stay. Much to Nick's dissatisfaction of course. And the way Brennan is acting only adds to her confusion about her growing feelings for him. If only this was Ruby's biggest problems this school year. As if! When a haughty chick named Katrina enrolls, life is most definitely not good. In fact it down right sucks! Worst. School. Year. Ever! I can't get over how much I love this series. If I thought I loved DEJA BLUE, I apparently had no idea that SKY BLUE was gonna rock my socks clear off. A new character is introduced and I must say I absolutely hated her. LOATHED! I hated the vibe I got from her the second we meet. I hated Nick for acting like a total duchery of a boyfriend right in front of Ruby when Katrina is near. I also hated Ruby for not being the girl I thought she was. When she forgives and takes Nick back so easily, I about lost all respect for her. At that point I was ready to put the book down and say Adios to these people. But, being the weak person I am, I had to know what was going to happen. So, of course, I continued on. And boy was I glad I did. Another fabulous story that Cassar has conjured up in that amazing little head of hers. Even when I wanted to shove the book away thanks to that wench in the story, I knew better. I knew that Cassar wouldn't lead us astray. I knew she wouldn't bring us down one path just to leave us helpless. Cassar's writing and amazing characters remind me why I fell in love with fairies in the first place. And the funny thing is we haven't even been to Fey yet. I am excited, once again, to see what Cassar has in store for us with the next and final installment of the series, FOREVER BLUE. Be on the lookout for that review coming up in the next couple of weeks.
