Overview

The author of Risky Games returns with a football team owner who's a real player and the woman who's ready to call him out on everything...

Dot-com millionaire Jay McManus is discovering that owning a pro football team isn't as easy as his other hobby of wine-making. An anonymous blogger is out to destroy his reputation, and now his team, the Baltimore Blaze, is named in a highly contentious workplace violation lawsuit brought on by the team's cheerleaders. If Jay's not careful, he could lose big--and not just financially.

When Bridgett Janik's law firm accepts the case representing the Baltimore Blaze, she's not thrilled to be defending Jay McManus, the man who broke her young heart. It's bad enough her brother is one of the team's stars and she has to mingle with Jay during games, but working side-by-side her lover-turned-enemy may be too much for her body--and her heart--to resist.

Jay never makes the same mistake twice and he's determined not to let Bridgett slip away from him a second time. But, as the two follow the mysterious blogger's trail, secrets--both past and present--are revealed and Jay and Bridgett must decide if their relationship can be something more than just sleeping with the enemy.

Sleeping With The Enemy is the fourth book in the Out Of Bounds series. It tells the story of Jay and Bridgett and why they love-hate each other. Jay is the owner of the Baltimore Blaze when a blogger threatens to destroy his reputation and at the same time, his team is being sued by cheerleaders. Bridgett's firm comes to the rescue and tries to get to the bottom of who the blogger is and why is the cheerleaders are suing the team. At the same time, Jay and Bridgett are in this weird love-hate relationship that started 13 years ago in Italy and everything is reveled through flashbacks of what happened that summer. As secrets come out, Jay and Bridgett realize that no matter how much time has passed, you can start anew again! I never read this series before and now I want to go back and read the other books in this series just due to that fact that it's that good. I liked how the flashbacks told their story without being so overbearing with what is going on in present day. Tracey has a good thing going on with this book series, who can resist a book with football and romance and a little bit of mystery! Thank You to Tracey Solheim for writing a book that was awesome and I can't wait to read what is next in this series! I received this book from the Publisher via NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

Sleeping With The Enemy drew me in, and I had a hard time putting it down. Jay is the owner of the Baltimore Blaze, a pro football team. When news breaks of sexual harassment and other charges being filed against the team, Jay hadn't realized a blast from his past would show up. The chemistry between Bridgett and Jay was crazy, even though they tried to fight it. (Well, Bridgett did. Jay was all about setting a blaze to the sparks that were flying between them ;) ). The fighting and bantering between the characters was awesome, and I loved the relationship Jay seems to have with his buddies. Full of twists and turns, deception and misunderstandings, this book will suck you in, make you forget you have a family to take care of, and fall in love with these Jay and Bridgett. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a phenomenal read (just make sure you have a box of tissues handy for some parts)

Thirteen years ago Bridgett and Jay's relationship ended badly, with each blaming the other for their broken heart. Now, Jay is the owner of a pro football team and Bridgett is the lawyer defending his team against a lawsuit. Bridgett and Jay have undeniable chemistry, but the challenge is whether or not they can enjoy a physical relationship without risking their hearts. Sleeping With the Enemy is full of secrets, misunderstandings and unexpected twists as the mystery unravels. I loved this book! I look forward to the next book in the Out of Bounds series.

Sleeping With the Enemy by Tracy Solheim is the 4th book in her Out of Bounds series. I have not read the earlier books, but after reading this book, I do plan on going back and read the other three. Sleeping With the Enemy reads very well as a standalone, Bridgett Janik is our heroine, and she is a strong, smart, savvy one at that. Bridgett is a top notch lawyer, and isn’t too happy to be assigned to a case defending the Baltimore Blaze football team. The reason for her unhappiness? Jay McManus is our hero, and the owner of the Blaze. Jay and Bridgett had a relationship years before, which broke both of their hearts, with each having walked away blaming the other person. With a scandal and threat of a lawsuit, Jay and Bridget are thrown together, and their feelings for each have not been forgotten. The chemistry between them is undeniably hot, and Jay is determined to win Bridget back, but only as a mistress; he will not allow his heart to fall for her again. Bridgett wants nothing to do with Jay, but she cannot control her lust for him. In between the hot sex scenes, and the slow build romance being resurrected, there is a mystery of who is behind the false rumors and innuendo about the team and Jay. As secrets become unraveled, Jay begins to suspect that someone from his past is out to hurt him, but what he doesn’t know is how far this person has gone in trying to destroy his life. This was a very nice second romance between Jay and Bridgett, but what I really enjoyed about the story was all the wonderful secondary characters that made up this story. Jay’s sister, Charlie was great, and I hope Solheim plans to give us her story soon. I also enjoyed Bridgett’s sister, though at times she needed to be smacked at her comments to Bridgett; and Linc was a good character that will need his story, too. The key to the story as we race to the finish: Will Jay allow himself to open his heart to Bridgett? Will Bridgett be able to trust Jay again? Will the truth come out what really happened all those years ago? Tracy Solheim has written a wonderful story that has a bit of everything; great couple, sizzling romance, wonderful secondary characters, mystery, betrayal, and many secrets that will be revealed. I recommend you read Sleeping With the Enemy, as you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Another HOT Out of Bounds novel. Sleeping with the Enemy is a wonderful story of second chances in love and life. It’s also the perfect read to kick off the football season. Baltimore Blaze owner Jay McManus and attorney Bridgett Janik are forced to work together to represent the team against a spurious lawsuit brought on by the Sparks, the team’s cheerleaders. But these two share a secret past and their heated sparring eventually leads to more than just a business relationship. Solheim takes the reader on fabulous journey through their past and present lives deftly telling part of the story in flashbacks. As usual, Solheim crafts a solid cast of secondary characters that help round out a great book. Be warned, however, once you start this book, you won’t be able to put it down. Sleeping with the Enemy is the fifth installment in the Out of Bounds series, but it can be read as stand alone.

Jay and Bridgett are coming face to face over a decade after they'd last seen each other. Back then they were in love and the future looked promising, now they have nothing but animosity towards each other. Of course nothing is as it seems as they slowly learn. The flame that burned brightly between them hasn't gone out making their interactions a bit more complicated than they'd like. I liked Jay and Bridgett. It's obvious there's history between them that's caused them to change. Jay notices Bridgett is no longer the lively girl her remembers. It's like the spark in her has gone out. Bridgett isn't the only one whose gotten cynical. Jay's attitude has changed completely too. The open man with lots of love to give is gone, leaving this current avatar in its place. I loved being in both Jay and Bridgette's heads. It really allowed me to grasp who they were and how they'd evolved. I was even excited when they allowed their instincts and bodies to override what their heads were telling them. I hoped their hearts would surely follow and lead them back to each other, but it wasn't easy. Tracy Solheim did a great job at making the plot, including the reason behind the breakdown of Bridgett and Jay's relationship make sense. She also makes their journey back to each other emotionally difficult, but necessary. Better yet, she makes you feel their pain and that added even greater depth to the story. I can't believe how emotionally intense this book was. My feelings were fully engaged and so were my senses. It wasn't just Jay and Bridgett trying to deal with both the past and its lasting after effects, but also their current situations which had them embroiled once again. There were a number of subplots involving the team and family members that were integrated flawlessly. It was wonderful seeing characters from previous books that I loved. They were integrated into the story in such a way you don't need to read their books before you read this one. Each aspect just added to the impact of the story. I also love how the past was incorporated into the story which cleared up a lot of things. All in all everything combined to leave me a quivering pile of mush by the end and devouring every page. I loved and thoroughly enjoyed every page of this story and sincerely hope there are more in this series to come.

I thought this book was fantastic. Seeing how different Jay and Bridgett viewed what happened to their relationship was very interesting. Seeing how it really happened was even better. I really enjoyed everything that led up to the end. There were a lot of surprises in this book, which was great. It kept me guessing, and wondering what was going to happen. Not to mention, the hot chemistry between Jay and Bridgett. I loved that they kind of hated each other, but couldn't stay away from each other. It was fascinating watching them battle, and even try to compromise their relationship to make it fit, like some sort of business arrangement. Tracy Solheim did a phenomenal job developing these characters. I thought it all came together beautifully! I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Did someone say football? Oh, I'm such a sucker for football in my romance books. So choosing to read/review this one was an easy choice. I haven't read the rest of the series, something I need to change. But I had no issue reading this as a stand alone. Knowing the other couples would have been nice but not necessary. Now, let me tell you about the brilliance that is the book. It's a second chance story. These two met right out of college in Italy one summer and fell in love. It's not clear what happened at first but they both clearly blame the other for the end of the relationship. And here is the brilliance - I've read a lot of miscommunication and misunderstanding kinda stories and they all seem weak to me. But this one...this one is pure brilliance. This one has some depth. This one has some real reasons why there was miscommunication and misunderstanding. This one has me loving both of these characters and feeling the pain they both went through. This one makes sense. And these characters...love them. Both were devastated by the loss of the other. They both dealt with it in different ways but when they meet up again, it's clear the chemistry is still there. Jay thinks a purely physical relationship can work. Bridgett is trying to protect her heart again. So she resists. And Jay chases. And it's so fun because Bridgett cannot resist him once his hands are on her even at 30,000 feet. More than romance, this story has a great plot with lots of depth. There are subplots and intertwined plots. They all get nicely tied up at the end. I loved that. I loved the writing. It goes back and forth between the two main characters POV but it's third person. I don't normally like third person but this was great. I felt connected with the characters and happy. I read this mostly in a day. I had looked at it a little the day before but when I sat down to read, I didn't stop till I was done. I didn't want to stop. And now I want to read the rest of the series. Such great romance, with great characters, great story and steamy romance. If you love your second chance stories, then don't miss this one.

Wow! An emotional read that brings two strong, flawed characters back together for a second chance if they can get past the hurt and misunderstandings that tore them apart years ago. Jay McManus, owner of the Baltimore Blaze, is the youngest owner in the NFL and can't afford any missteps. Already targeted by When the team is hit with an unexpected lawsuit from one of it's cheerleaders,Bridgett Janik is the only option for representation. Less than ideal, because Bridgett is not only the sister of one of his star players, but also his first love that ended badly. Bridgett has no desire to have anything to do with Jay, after he walked away from her so many years ago. Bridgett spent the intervening years growing up, building a successful career and crafting the armor to protect her feelings. Jay channeled his hurt into building an empire, now he figures he can use the chance to have a second chance with Bridgett, without getting his heart involved. Packed with emotion, Solheim has crafted well-developed characters and a story line that keeps the reader hooked. Solheim has taken the characters and story and crafted something unforgettable that had me laughing and crying, and I hated to reach the last page, all the hallmarks of a great story. I loved the secondary characters and everything they added to the story.I hope to see Charlie and Blake in their own stories down the road. Though it is Book 4 in the Out of Bounds series, this novel can easily stand alone without the reader feeling something has been missed. **I received an Advanced Reader's Copy from the Publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

A great story of second chance love. Who is the enemy in this story? Jay and Bridgett have a history of a summer romance from years past, that ended with a letter. Jay is now the owner of the Blaze Football team, he needs a good lawyer for his team for a sexual harassment charge. Who does he turn to but, Bridgett. Can they leave the past behind them, and start a new. The secrets will come out of who the enemy really is. The sexual chemistry between Jay and Bridgett is very hot. Their past and present lives will take you on a roller coaster ride with many twists and turns. Their story is told in flashbacks and will have you cheering them on to work things out. I also enjoyed the secondary characters in the story line, they all had some sort of flaws that needed to be fixed. A fair warning, once you start this book, you will not be able to put down. The perfect read for the beginning of football season. This is part of a series, but can be read as stand alone. I received a copy of this book from Net Galley for an honest review.

Tracy Solheim takes us back to her Out of Bounds series with a great read full of twist and secondary character you are going to love meeting. Jay McManus is now the owner of the Blaze and He needs a good lawyer. Bridgett Janik is more than a good lawyer. The only problem is They have a shared past that left them both with life changing scars. The Blogger that was after Brody Janik, Bridgett's baby Brother, has now set her sight on Jay. The twist to Jay and Bridgett past is added as flashbacks that move the story along. We meet Jay's Mother and Sister, along with Blaze staff and his long time friends. Bridgett's Sisters are back along with Brody. I was hooked on all the storylines that Tracy Solheim mixes so perfectly to weave a great story you do not want to put down. If you have read Tracy Solheim series, Sleeping With The Enemy is going to be that wonderful addition you have waited to read. I was given this book for an honest review. You finish this wondering who we get to read their whole story next. Thanks Tracy Solheim & Good Writing

Jay McManus was the youngest owner of a NFL team. When he bought it, he didn't realize all the baggage that it could come with it. While it was frustrated Jay thought he could handle the blogger that was constantly putting down and accusing players and owners, he was not expecting a lawsuit for sexual harassment. One that was filed against him and the team by a former cheerleader that surprised everyone. So they made sure that he had the best lawyer possible for it....Bridgett Janik. Who just also happened to be the sister of Brody, a tight end on the team and someone Jay knew well, very well. When Bridgett saw Jay again even though it had been awhile her body remember that incredible time they had together and that the magic was still there. He was feeling the same way as well but both had to bottle up those feelings at first to make sure that the lawsuit was their number one priority. Little did they realize that it would not work and it was just building up to become an incredible blow out when it happened. One that would affect their personal and business lives forever. Another HOT Out of Bounds novel from Tracy. A page turning, you do not want to put it down until you have finished it book that will not be disappointing. I was lucky enough to receive an advance copy for review.
