Description: This book in its 19th edition is a comprehensive and a most up-to-date textbook that covers common concepts in the field of urology. The previous edition was published in 2013.
Purpose: The book's emphasis is on diagnosis and treatments of urological diseases. The audience is given a simplistic, well-organized introduction to basic urological topics. The content is current and covers all major urological conditions. Each chapter is well thought out, thorough, and filled with a wealth of information.
Audience: The book is mainly intended for medical students and residents in the field of urology, but practicing physicians in urology, family practice, and general medicine will find this book valuable in day-to-day management of urological patients. Dr. Jack McAninch and Dr. Tom Lue are reputable authors and well-recognized experts in the field.
Features: The book separates the topics in an organized fashion. Of the 48 chapters, each is devoted to an important aspect of understanding the discipline of urology from anatomy to immunotherapy of urologic malignancies.
