OK, somehow this book ended up hidden on my bookshelf without getting read back at Christmastime. But I just found it again last night and was looking at the description, opened the book and ... I was hooked. I started reading and couldn't put it down until I'd finished. But that seems to ALWAYS happen with a book by this author. I always find them so easy to read, and I get engaged with the characters right away, and want (no, NEED) to know what happens to them so I just have to keep turning the pages. And the added touch of it all happening at Christmas? Well, that's just an added bonus. I love this story - and ... Gizmo, too (of course).

What a wonderful, heartwarming romance, with one of my favorite tropes that really lets the author showcase the growing relationship between the characters. Being snowbound in the Alps, with the accompanying Christmas-y theme, played out perfectly for the two characters to work through their own pasts and move forward with this unexpected romance. Both Serena Mae Winston and Jackson Bennett seemed like approachable, real people. And I have to say that Gizmo, the cute rescue puppy that Serena owns, almost stole the show several times, but worked as a great way to propel the story along without interruptions of the outside world.

This is a feel good Holiday story with an adorable puppy named Gizmo acting as an unintentional matchmaker. Serena Winston is a Hollywood star who has escaped to Austria for a much needed vacation from a bad breakup and the pressures of Hollywood. Jackson Bennett is a widowed morning TV personality who is in Austria covering some holiday stories. When Gizmo runs in front of Jackson’s car, Jackson crashes his car and hurts his leg. Serena takes him back to her cabin as the snow continues to fall, eventually stranding them in the cabin. Jackson doesn’t recognize Serena and Serena is reluctant to tell him who she really is in case he wants to leak her location and cash in on the publicity. This is a cute story with a naturally evolving romance that feels real. Jackson and Serena are both warm and interesting characters who carry some baggage from childhood. When they come together, the romance blossoms. A definite feel good holiday keeper.

I received a copy of this book from the author. I was not required or compensated to give a favorable review. This another wonderful book from Jennifer Serena rented a cabin in Austria to get away from the stupid ex-boyfriend and everything else to deal with Hollywood and sit down and follow her passion and write a screen play. She find Gizmo the cutest little dog and also a little thief. But he is also the reason the Jackson ends up in her home. He is in Austria to do a Christmas special. She rescues him from a car accident and they end up snowed in and unable to get a hold of anyone. But the time together makes such a difference to both of them. Gizmo has a way of making two people believe in love

4 1/2 STARS! Alone and jaded isn’t always the way to go! When two strangers meet and connect in a cabin far from their real lives, they are left trying to figure out if they dare take a chance on a relationship again. She’s tired of being used for her connections, and he’s living in a fog of knowing whether life is supposed to be different than the past he once had. They have a cute connection and you find yourself pulling for them quickly. A fun read! Heiress Serena Winston decided to get away for the holidays. She wants some peace and quiet where nobody knows her, so she escapes to a cabin in the Alps for some relaxation. When an unexpected houseguest turns up, will she be able to keep her identity a secret? TV personality Jackson Bennett hasn’t enjoyed the holidays since losing his wife so when the opportunity to travel around that time to get some unique stories takes him to Austria, he is more than okay with that. When he’s run off the road and left in a precarious position, a beautiful stranger comes to his rescue and gives him a better holiday experience than he was expecting … but why does she seem so familiar?

I received this book from the author in exchange for a honest review. I really enjoyed this book. I love Gizmo, what an adorable little dog and the fact that he was the one who bought the couple together and was into so much mischief is wonderful. I really like Jackson and Serena and the fact that she is a famous actress from a famous family and Jackson is a famous reporter was a great idea. The fact that Jackson didn't realize who she was made for a great factor. I like the way Jennifer Faye writes in all the details, like the cocoa. I like that Jackson realized that he can be happy and enjoy his life and Christmas after so much sadness. this is a great book and a great Christmas time story to love.

Serena and Jackson are forced to spend time together when unforeseen circumstances happen. Serena is a movie star who takes a vacation to Austria to get away from it all. When an accident happens, Serena helps out the driver, only to find it's Jackson, a well known television anchor on a morning show. With Jackson injured, and a blizzard going on, Serena has no choice but to take care of Jackson in her cabin. She's afraid all of her secrets will be revealed once Jackson figures out who she is. This story is extremely well written, and I love these characters. Serena has a rescue dog Gizmo who definitely keeps her on her toes. Jennifer Faye is an awesome author! I love this book, and I highly recommend it!

This is a great read with some fantastic characters and an interesting storyline. Perfect for a lazy snowbound afternoon read. Serena Winston is tired of living her life in the public eye. That's why she's decided to hole up in a cabin in the mountains of Austria. She can't believe it when her little pup causes an accident that involves one of the US's most well known TV reporters, Jackson Bennett, and now they are stuck in her cabin together! Will this be the end of her seclusion or will he out her at the first opportunity? This is definitely a book I recommend.

Snowbound with an Heiress is not your typical holiday romance, at least to me. It was a warm, loving, sometimes funny, holiday read. Serena Winston and Jackson Bennet meet, under trying circumstances, and with the help of a cute little furball named Gizmo, manage to take you on a holiday adventure. I think the most touching part of the story is that as the reader, you are privy to the background and hurt both of these individuals have buried deep in their hearts and psyches. With the power of a snowstorm and the upcoming holidays, and Gizmo of course (!), the way they come together is truly heartwarming. I love how Ms. Faye made you feel a part of Serena’s loneliness and Jackson’s loss and then helped you to ride along with them to their HEA. And let’s not forget Gizmo’s little stealing problem… Really enjoyed this story and loved all the characters. I found the storyline refreshing and new – something hard to create this time of year – and plan to keep and to add to my holiday book collection.

Serena Winston, Hollywood movie star, is escaping from the limelight in Austria; she has always wanted to learn to ski, and she rented a chalet in the Alps. She is walking her dog Gizmo, when he suddenly frees himself from his leash. A snowstorm is under way, and as Serena starts looking for her puppy, she hears a crash. She hurries to the scene; no dog, but a man needs rescuing before his car blows up. Then Serena recognises him: Jackson Bennett, the famous morning news anchorman; precisely what she was running from. Although Jackson thinks she looks somewhat familiar, he doesn’t recognise Serena, who tells him her name is Mae – which is really Serena’s middle name. However, before long Jackson has figured out who his Good Samaritan really is… I thought the role reversal was so very clever! It’s Jackson who hurts his ankle and Serena who rescues him, this among other fun things. Jackson has been widowed for two years, he still loves his wife, and he doubts he can love so soon, or even ever again. Jennifer Faye has a knack for crystal clear descriptions, and SNOWBOUND WITH AN HEIRESS reads like a movie; Serena moves about a lot, Gizmo is always up to some mischief, and I could picture Jackson limp his way through the chalet. There was a misunderstanding, and it was dealt with speedily, without any unpleasantness; Serena and Jackson behave like rational adults, and they are both very appealing characters. SNOWBOUND WITH AN HEIRESS is a charming, enjoyable and very quick read; it is a good old-fashioned Christmas romance, and it’s perfect to relax during the holidays, or any time when a little Christmas cheer is in order. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Such an interesting story line; a snow storm, a small dog, a beautiful setting and the Christmas holiday. The characters are strong but have an uncertainty about where life is leading them. Can they find happiness together? Great read, lovely story. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book; all opinions expressed are my own.

Once again Ms Faye delights us with her stories. This one gives us the magic of Christmas. Serena Winston , a Hollywood star and daughter of famous people, has left the USA to regroup in Austria. She needs a break from the paparazzi and her ex-boyfriend. A man that abused her trust. She meets Jackson Bennett, a widower and the morning TV show anchor , when his car drives off the road trying to avoid her dog Gizmo. She rescues him and takes him back to her cabin. Since he doesn’t recognize her, she doesn’t reveal her identity. As the story progresses , so does their relationship. Both have trust issues, and Jackson is still in love with his wife. Will they be able to find their HEA or will lack of trust and past heartbreaks keep them apart? In addition to the main plot, the author highlights the fact that what we experience as children and how our parents treated us, will follow you into adulthood. Also, that Christmas is a time of renewal , hope and maybe new love. Another enchanting and heartwarming story by this talented author. I was gifted this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
