Upon turning fifteen James Farriday, Sara Jean Tomlinsen and Patrick Hart find that they have suddenly developed strange talents. Talents that result in several deaths before some odd people appear and spirited them off to a school in New Mexico to learn to control their new abilities.
Sonny Bracken made a valiant effort in running for President of the United States, but he lost in the primaries. The eventual winner of the Presidency, from Sonny’s party, appointed Sonny as Secretary of State to help unify the party.
The people that had backed Sonny now were planning to kill everyone that stands between Sonny and the Oval Office. That way the World will have a wizard in the Oval Office and all of the wizards around the world can stop hiding as well as covering up their talent in public.
The enforcement arm of the wizard’s world, Miles Ritter, and his new apprentice, Sara Jean, must locate these people, stop the killings, “judge” the perpetrators all without revealing the existence of wizards to the normals.
