The title "Songs of Life" is an overall description for the way the author and main character in the book feels about his life up into this point. With all that has gone unexpected in his life he feels the pen has been there to guide him from harms way. Perhaps as a gift from God.

About the Author

One of five children born November 24th 1980, which lies outside the month every other sibling in his family. Grew up in a single parent household with two other siblings. His mother worked two jobs most of the time to keep the bills paid and while they attended the only Catholic school in town. The author began writing short two and four liners in song format with a heavy influence in the newly discovered hip hop scene at the age of ten. Lived on the other side of the railroad tracks than most kids who attended the school. Formed meaningful friendships with children from both parts of the town and found refuge in each when needed. Graduated from high school. Met and fell in love with a girl from work. Graduated from Ohio State University where while attending he suffered from a mental illness that caused a continous struggle for reaching his degree in English in 2009.
