About the Author

Vince Nyman, as a current pastor and lifelong artist, believes in using art as a catalyst of imagination, positive values, goodness, and faith. He asserts that creative processes can stir our level of awareness, which is the first step in moving people to something better. In addition to Sophia’s Butterfly Garden, he has authored Caring Trees and Temple Soul Shine.
As an academic professor for Paul VI Institute, he taught several courses, in particular Art and Spirituality, Theology, and Spiritual Themes in Literature.
A clergyman of over twenty years, he currently serves as the pastor to Our Lady of the Holy Cross church in the inner city of St. Louis, Missouri, where he enjoys participating in restorative justice and healing ministries for people of all ages.
Besides holding several degrees in art and theology, the author possesses a doctorate in the Ministry of Preaching DMin at Aquinas Institute, St. Louis, Missouri.
