Spiders in the Sand
Bright sun, clear blue skies, and lots of heat. It’s just the end of another summer in Las Vegas. Or is it?
It’s been thirteen years since the twin towers fell and civilian airliners brought death to American soil. The FBI, in conjunction with the rest of the agencies in the Department of Homeland Security, has stopped every terrorist attack on American soil since that terrible September day. It’s a brilliant record; one that all those in law enforcement can be proud of.
But our borders are porous. Our enemies know this. They are persistent. Someone is bound to succeed. It’s not a matter of “if”, but “when”. They want to hurt us again.
A young terrorist named Mustafa al-Hashim is one of those enemies. Mustafa blames America for the murder of his father and is hell-bent on revenge. Now, with the assistance of his uncle, a top ranking officer in the terrorist army Sayf al-Din, Mustafa plots an attack more devastating than 9/11. His plan: Sneak into the U.S. and kill as many Americans as possible.
It’s up to FBI Special Agent Frank Rozelli and the Las Vegas Counter Terrorism Unit to recognize the threat and stop it before Mustafa can carry out his nefarious plans. But there are other forces at work and with the lives of millions at stake, all of those involved will have to determine what they believe, who they can trust, and are their beliefs worth dying for.
