About the Author

Daphne Walter always loved books, ever since teaching herself to read at age three. She has been writing ever since her college roommate turned her on to romance novels. She could never get enough.

A lifetime member of MENSA and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Webster University, Colette currently lives in Chicagoland with a Miniature Schnauzer, a Miniature Pinscher, a Schni-huahua and a Dachshund for comic relief.

Her short story, Last Summer, won second place in the Warren-Newport Public Library’s 2016 writing contest. Her first novel, King Henry’s Last Daughter, was published in 2017. Her third book, The Edge of the Midnight Woods, a paranormal fantasy written as Colette Maëlys, was published in 2021.
