About the Author

Spent my informative years in Oldham and Manchester, started to travel as soon as I could afford a passport and a backpack.

Came to Australia in the late eighties and spent almost twenty years there.

I lived predominately with Aboriginal people for the last decade of my stay, which gave me an insight into a culture that is very, very different to my own and an insight into the relationship and tensions between indigenous and non-indigenous people in Australia

I returned to the UK in 2005 to spend time with my ailing Father and our relationship and the changes that I saw on returning to the UK after such a long time away forms my first published novel 'Cleaning Up' which was published last year (2013) by Muswell Press of London.

The partial sequel to Cleaning Up, 'State of Denial', which I will publish here on Smashwords in a ten-part serialized form, looks at the dynamics of indigenous and mainstream Australia as told through the lives of its two main characters. I hope you enjoy it. Paul
