Love always find you when you least expect it and happens to find you when you aren't really looking for it, which just so happens to be the case for the three ladies in this trio of stories. Each short, but oh so sweet, story follows a different couple, and I truly enjoyed reading each of them. Ms. Fox definitely knows her romance, and has put together three exceptional stories that will provide readers with quite the literary escape! Highly recommend!! Crashing Down is the first story in the trio and it follows a very determined Kathryn Lane as she does an internship at the Stone Cliff Resort. She is bound and determined to hang on to her scholarship and so that means she must maintain her all work no play motto, which proves to be a little harder than she expected after meeting bad boy Noah Ryan. Wasted Summer is the second story in the trio and it follows Stone Cliff resident Melody Spencer. She has a plan, a plan to get out of Stone Cliff, and get away from all the small town rumors and men who can't be trusted. But the minute she meets Ryeland Montgomery she begins second guessing her plan to leave... Love Lessons is the final story in the trio and it follows cartoonist Grace Bennett. Grace has never been in love, which makes writing about it a little tricky, so she decides to enlist the help of her neighbor Nate Wright. His revolving door of women, and experiences makes him the perfect candidate to help teach her all about love, but what begins as just lessons starts to become something a little more...something that neither of them expected to find. Crashing down: What do you get when you take the good girl virgin and the bad boy with a haunted past and toss them together in a summer paradise that brings dirty dancing to mind? A really awesome story. This was great. The chemistry, give and take, of Kat and Noah is unbeatable. What starts as a bet turns into so much more. As two early 20 yo grow up in a summer full of healing, exploring and living. 5 star read! This is a great series. Cheesy lines that make you smile “If I say your body, would you hold it against me?” “That you should come with a warning label. Wasted Summer: fabulous story. Rich boy vacations every summer at stone ridge, watches townie for years before he decides to go after her. His parents are against it and fight him on it, his friends are against it and try to split them and the townies are against it. against the odds the two spend the summer forming a strong bond. throw in some secrets revealed, some drama, and lots of loving support and you find yourself a 5 star read. this book stands alone, but leaves me ready to read what other love is found at stone ridge. Love Lessons: I loved his story. Gracie, a cartoonist, is challenged with writing a love cartoon for the papers Valentine's day edition. Being completely naive, blind and almost dumb about love she feels doomed. In steps hot best friend/coworker/neighbor Nick to save the day with love lessons. Not only showing Gracie what love is, but trying to win her love. With the help of his brothers and a go to for everything concierge, Nate gives us a can't put down story of opening eyes and finding love. I found so many lines in this book making me grin from ear to ear that I have to share. " The last guy she climbed into bed with went down on her like he was munching on one of Albert’s famous prime rib roasts. Cripes, she was about to ask if he needed a knife and fork." " His sexy grin returned, and she crossed her legs to stop herself from handing him her panties." " “No guy has ever shucked my oyster.” As soon as the words left her mouth, she cringed. “Wait, I think that might have come out wrong.”" " “I mean the last time someone went searching in my mouth, I’m pretty certain it was for my tongue.”"
This is an awesome collection of books by Cathryn Fox! For Noah it's all about being in the moment. He's not looking back or forward. Just living day to day. Maybe if he lives fast enough life won't catch up. It started as a dare. He was supposed to get the "new girl" interested enough to sleep with him. He was almost positive he could because just a little bit of attention had her wanting more. Kathryn is as uptight and organized as they come. She is an only child who is a definite Daddy's girl since her Mom passed away. Rocking the boat wasn't in the plan, but her summer internship has given her a little freedom and she has definitely noticed the sexy take it or leave it bad boy Noah. Kat as Noah calls her is extremely cautious with him physically, but emotionally she takes a leap. She sees that Noah is hurting and hiding something and she is more than willing to be the shoulder he cries on, but Noah pulls back emotionally. He can do the physical, but emotions just get in the way of living. Wasted Summer the second book in Cathryn Fox's Stone Cliff Series touches all of the emotions and keeps you coming back for more. Melody or Mel as she likes to be called knows what she wants and is determined to get it. She is a townie who is going to break free from her home town and all of her responsibilities and memories that hold her there. She just has to get enough money together and finish up some of her night classes and she is out of there. Ryeland is one of the guys who comes to Stone Cliff in the summer with his rich family and friends. They usually don't have the time of day for the townies unless they want something from them or just take it. Ryeland isn't like his family or his friends. He wants something different, but feels trapped by his family, friends and society. He knows that by the end of the summer he's going to make sure that his family knows that he's not going to follow in his father's footsteps and become a lawyer. From the first time these two meet there is a very strong connection, but they both know that it can't go anywhere because summer people don't date townies. They decide to keep their relationship in the friend zone, but soon their feelings for each other can't be denied. The more Mel's life spirals out of control and Ryeland's family expectations push him to rebel they gravitate towards one another. Two people that are extremely strong and independent alone are absolutely fierce together. You can't go wrong with an awesome friends become lovers story and that is definitely what Cathryn Fox gives us in the third book of her Stone Cliff series. The title of the book Love Lessons explains it all. Nate is going to give Grace love lessons so that she has ideas for her comic strip and can get her work done before publication on Valentine's Day. Little does Grace know how much Nate wants her to excel at her lessons and fall in love with him, but Nate is in for a surprise because lately all Grace has been able to think about is how she wants things to change with Nate. I think that they are both going to get what they wanted for Valentine's Day. I was given an ARC for an honest review. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.
