The storyline opens with Martha driving home after a quick trip to the laundry. She soon is involved in a situation that she has never encountered before. She has an accident (car verses man) after which the man refuses medical attention; and she and her children are faced with a dilemma. This little incident leads her to make a decision that could put her family in danger or liberate her from the despair that she suffers in her family life.
The strange man turns out to be someone who will influence her life and change all of them for the rest of their lives. Difficult to understand situations and unexplained events become common in the household, and Martha’s husband wants some answers. The answer he finally gets is not what he expects, but he cannot tell anyone else about what he knows, not even his wife.
Brilliantly crafted and cleverly woven, “Stranger In My House” is a story that will inspire all who reads it.

About the Author

Elgin J. Dobbins wrote and published his first novel in 2003; which was a two-year project. Since then he has authored numerous short stories, many of which have a science fiction feel to them with a religious twist. He retired from the United States Air Force after almost twenty-five years of honorable service to this country; and is a Vietnam veteran. He lives in Alaska with his children and wife. His wife, whom he met and married while in the military, was also a military member. She served twenty-four years on active duty. He and his family spend a considerable amount of time in the out of doors, particularly during the summer. He was born and raised in Cedartown, Georgia and joined the Air Force shortly after high school. He has traveled extensively and lived in many locals going through many life experiences. His writings are dedicated to motivating and hopefully teaching the reader something new.
