General James K. Matson rushes to his control center at the United States Strategic & Tactical Interdiction Keeper of Eagle Command (USSTRIKECOM) HQ. He directs unified combat commands of Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Forces around the world while fending off a coordinated effort to destroy his sensitive installation by a coalition of terrorists, renegade governments and Russia. His enemies intend to destroy STRIKECOM’s ability to direct all U.S. military forces and then to rain down nuclear missiles on the United States and its military installations worldwide. An imbedded terrorist named Roger Edwards mission is to sabotage the alternate airborne command post—AWACS aircraft—and plant a bomb in Matson's command post ninety feet underground.
