"Miles Day Off" is the opening story of the collection. The titular character, Miles, has been waiting for months for the release of a new toy and now has a chance to get it. This irreverent comedy travels throughout a small suburban town setting up for a holiday festival.
"The Irondeep Excursion" is a fantasy story about three mercenaries, Gorgi, Benny and Alannis. The protagonists must do a job in the heart of a corrupted and disheveled forest, but what lurks beyond them is an ominous and ever-present threat.
"The Fixer" follows Ron through a normal Sunday when an argument with his girlfriend, Samantha, turns the day into anything but mundane. As time progresses, the two become more and more unhinged.
