Susan's Flower Bud Baby Hat Crochet Pattern
This item is a crochet pattern (U.S. abbreviations) for the flower bud photo prop baby hat you see in the picture. Fast to make for the crochet nut, the baby cap is worked primarily in double crochet and has instructions for two sizes: newborn and 3 months. (The sizing may vary depending on your yarn and the tightness of your stitches) It's so sweet and delectable, a little Hollyhock bud is what it brings to mind. Pair it with a baby cocoon you make (I don't have a pattern, it's so simple: just make a large circle in dc, then start decreasing when you reach about 14" diameter to form a bowl shaped newborn cocoon) Getting back to the flower bud cap, there are two different ways you can do the sweet little ruffle at the bottom; it's supposed to be pink little flower petals peeking out. It also has an optional little "stem" at the top of the cap.

It's super quick to crochet, the cap takes 40 to 60 minutes to make, for an experienced crocheter, There is a key to abbreviations, color photos, and special notes about working this project.

You'll need 2 sweater weight (medium or "worsted" weight yarn colors and a size G hook.

Feel free to make and sell this item, you have my permission to use it; however, please do not copy or sell my pattern, as it is my own copyrighted design.

About the Author

Susan Kennedy is an artist and designer who lives and works in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Animals, flowers, natural shapes in the ocean and forest all inspire Susan to create stitches, appliques, scarves and many more fanciful crocheted items.
