About the Author

I studied Kwon Bup Hard Style Korean Karate in which I hold a black belt and Eagle Dragon Chinese Kenpo Kung Fu in which I hold a green belt. I have taught martial arts for more than twenty five years.
While Program Supervisor at a local assisted living community, I developed a program of seated T’ai Chi Chuan based on the Yang short form. This exercise system was so successful with the elderly and disabled that I wrote a book describing the program. Fair Winds Press, an imprint of Rockport Publishing Company, bought the book and published it in June 2001.
After leaving my position as Activities Director at the assisted living facility, I continued to teach seated Tai Chi classes in various localities around Great Falls.
My students have varied greatly in age and levels of physical fitness.
I am currently conducting standard and seated classes for the elderly and disabled at Paris Gibson Square Museum of Modern Art as well as classes for college students and middle-aged adults and severely mentally ill adults at a local mental health center.
