Overview

Meet Ian Callaway and catch up with two popular Callaway siblings, Emma and Burke, in this charming and fun Callaway series novella by #1 New York Times Bestselling Author Barbara Freethy.

When Eleanor Callaway asks three of her grandchildren to make a trip to her childhood home in Ireland, they have no idea her plan for each of them will make this a life-changing trip.

Emma, the spunky, never-say-quit, fire investigator is happily married but has been struggling to have a child. While many of her siblings are welcoming new babies, Emma is afraid that she may never be a mother, but a trip to the Emerald Isle shows her that family is not always about bloodlines.

Burke Callaway saved his cousin's life in a fire, but now he's dealing with a possible career-ending injury. All he's ever wanted to be is a firefighter, to follow in the steps of the men who came before him. But this oldest son, for whom responsibility weighs heavy, now has a chance to discover a new and more free-spirited side of himself.

Ian Callaway is a world-renowned scientist, but his high IQ has been isolating. This sexy, attractive genius meets his hero in Ireland--a mysterious professor who is about to send him off on an adventure that will both threaten and change his life forever.

*TAKE ME HOME is a 25,000 word novella that can be read as a standalone or as part of the Callaway Series. Ian Callaway's complete romantic suspense adventure will start here in TAKE ME HOME and continue in the full-length novel CLOSER TO YOU.

I have loved The Callaways since book one! I am so excited that their family is growing and we are getting to know all of them a little more! Each and every time I read a Callaway book, I feel like I am part of the family and so sad when they are over. This little Novella was a cute, fun little getaway for Burke, Ian and Emma on behalf of their grandmother. Each book is interconnected leaving their family tradtions to live on and always keeping readers, like me, wanting more!

What could be better than a Callaway novella? This one features 2 characters we know, Emma and Burke, and one we will get to know better, Ian. Their Grandmother, Eleanor, sets them forth on a quest and adventure to Ireland to visit her ancestral home. They are directed to take pictures and bring memories back for her. Although each Callaway has their own personal issues, they all have individual instructions to follow once in Ireland, which will have an impact on their lives. I found it a great, fun read, which can also be read as a stand alone but will leave you wanting to know more about the Callaways.

The Calloway books are my favorite series from Barbara Freethy. I enjoy reading about big, loving families especially with some humor incorporated into the storyline. Unfortunately most of us can relate to someone in the family with some form of dementia, so it was nice to see some happy results from Eleanor's birthday wishes. The Novella was a great way to introduce us to Ian. I'm looking forward to reading his story next!

This was a sweet quick story that added more to the Callaway family story. Burke and Maddie, Emma and Max, and Ian take a quick trip to Ireland at their grandmother's request not only to learn more about her early years but also to give each of them a little help with their personal struggles. This is a wonderful series full of likeable characters that makes you want to keep following their stories. This was a quick and enjoyable read.

Emma, Burke, and Ian are all sent to Ireland by their grandmother. They each find something there that they were missing. This story was a great addition to the series, and I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to continuing Ian's story!

Wow! This novella packs in a lot of action! Novellas sometimes seem to be too simple in order to fit the story into its short length, but this one packs in a lot! I love the Callaways, and this gives us an update on three of the family members and makes me eager to see how things okay out for Emma and Max, Burke and Madrid, and Ian. Great story!

This sweet Callaway novella centers on Emma, Burke, and Ian. They travel to Ireland at their grandmothers request she sends each of them on their own scavenger hunt of sorts. Each one finds food for thought that relates to a challenge in their life. I love the surprise at their dinner at the restaurant. This story does leave you wondering what happens next but you can continue the story in the next book. Sweet read.

Felt like I was along for the trip to Ireland. Well done Barbara! Enjoyed every minute of this story. Some mysteries come to light and some solutions are hinted at. Great look at a new character. Love the family dynamics in this series, particularly here. As always, great dialogue and interesting story lines.

I so loved this story..... Eleanor Callaway has the desire to go home to Ireland, although with Alzheimers the risk is too great. She decides to pick 3 of her Callaway grandchildren to make the pilgrimage instead. Go visit, find their family roots, take pictures, heal and more!! For each of the grandchildren there is a revelation making this an extremely believable, tear provoking story. Grandma has plans that will impact each of their lives in a positive loving manner. I love the Callaways, this was a sweet story bringing us up to date with Emma and Burke. Can't wait to know Ian more!

Another delightful Calloway clan story. I love the description of grandmother Eleanor having a twinkle in her eyes, once again. With memories of her homeland Ireland, she wants to see it once again.Though this time it will be thru the eyes of her 3 grandchildren. Though each of them say they can't take the time. For grandmother is dear to them, how can they refuse. After getting over to Ireland they each are given a specific letter. For Burke and his wife Maddie will embark on a treasure hunt. For Ian he's to met someone. For Emma and Max met grandmother's best friend. So what was in the letters ? What did they find, and how did it change their lives. The 3 find so much more. Great, heartwarming story, you will love. Looking forward to the next book. Given ARC for my honest opinion, of which I have given.

The Callaways are united in love and tenacious in spirit. Both are good qualities to have but sometimes that tenacity can be a negative. Take Me Home is a multi - faceted reward for any fan of Barbara Freeway and her Callaway series. Die hard fans get to catch up with Burke, Maddie, Emma and Max but we also get a glimpse at another Callaway relative, Ian. Sometimes we need a fresh perspective to open our eyes to all of the possibilities that life has to offer. Emma and Burke learn that lesson first hand. With every story Ms. Freethy blends wisdom, hope and courage with captivating novels of what a family was meant to be.

Heart warming read. Special family moments are the center of this story. Love the Callaway's. Good read, worth the time spent.

What a fabulous series! Although inflicted with dementia, Eleanor is very intuitive about her grandchildren. She surprises three of her grandchildren, Ian, Emma and her husband and Burke and his wife, with a surprise trip to Ireland and has set up a special journey for each of them. Each of them is struggling with personal decisions and the journeys are to help them as they determine the paths of their lives. Each journey was meaningful and touched my heart. Through the author's words, I could see the beauty of Ireland and the warmth of the family. The journeys were not completed in this novella but will continue in Barbara Freethy's upcoming books. I hope that they come out soon! I was provided with ARC of this delightful novella in exchange for an honest review.
