About the Author

When she ran away, she traveled fourteen countries across five continents, attended three universities, and married the vocalist of her favorite rock band.
Java, tobacco, and dark romance novels are her favorite indulgences, and might be considered more unhealthy than her aversion to sleeping, eating meat, and dolls with blinking eyes.

Pam Godwin has converted me into a lover of the Dark Romance genre. Take is the 5th book in the Deliver series and what amazes me is that each book although dark and depraved is different from the other. Take was raw and gritty yet from the start it will grip you and hold your interest until the end. This novel was nothing like I expected it to be. It is a story about redemption. It will take your emotions on a roller-coaster ride and you won't know up from down, but in the end you will love every moment. I believe Tiago and Kate are my favorite couple and I was engrossed in seeing how their relationship evolved from kidnapper/victim to more. The characters development was exquisite, the story was well-crafted and layered, filled with action, passion, deceit, and pain. I don't have enough word to express how good this novel was. Take was a phenomenal read worthy of a 5 star status. I loved it and would highly recommend it to all lovers of Dark Romance.

I suppose the easiest thing to do with all these thoughts swirling in my head is to start at the beginning. Once upon a time, Pam Godwin decided to kidnap people and make us fall for their captors. She made it a conflicting kind of love. And so here we are about to embark on book 5 of the Deliver series. I can honestly say I'm surprised and appalled we are here. I thought that 5 was going to be Cole's story...But no. Pam, ever the sadist, is going to make us scratch and itch for it, make us plead and beg. Just before we throw in the towel she will dangle him in our faces. SIGH. It's severely twisted that we, the readers, at this point have been trained to thank her for it! Thank you Pam for a dark world and the twisted love that feeds it. I need to say that the cover of this book is both provocative and deceptively tame. The wildfire and strength in her eyes isn't noticed upon first glance but you are blind to miss it on the second. Take is a special circle of hell. It's everything you didn't realize you wanted out of this book. When we finished Devestate, I foolishly looked for the end of Tiago. I didn't want that man to be the next star in the dark world Pam created. I had no idea I needed him to be next. Take is a new level of dark. It's a new level of twisted. It is everything people tell you to avoid. But worst of all, it's impossible to resist! Take me. Love me. And spit me out. I will line up for more. I'm already anxiously awaiting Martin, Ricky, and HER. Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood

Okay, this book was purely decadent. Kate and Tiago are my new favorite book couple. Continuing in the deliver series of dark criminals, sex traffickers, etc. Kate is kidnapped and kept in isolation by the notorious and terrifying drug lord Tiago Badell. This man is pure sin and psycho; I love him. Kate fights to escape the horrific man but learns about the horrors of him and his past. As she accepts him slowly and falls for cruel ruthless Tiago, I melted. I always favored the anti-heros and Tiago is in my top ten. I floved their story so much even as it is very disturbing and completes another one of Pam's best work so far! I know I'll read this book over and over again, sigh. I'm so ready for the next book, Manipulate!

One of the menacing characters I met in Deliver Series -- Tiago Bedell. The character I love to hate last year in Devastate is back. He's still dark, raw, intense and apparently likes bloodplay. Kate lost her freedom once again in the hands of Tiago. But she's not just about to accept her captivity without a fight. She's feisty and speaks her mind. Learning what happened in Tiago's past gave her a glimpse of why he became the person he is today. Is it possible to fall for someone like Tiago? Never underestimate the power of a good author that knows how to make you fall for her (anti) hero. I don't like Tiago before but now I can't let go of him. Pam Godwin did an amazing job of writing this story. I dare you to read this series for it's getting better and better as each Freedom Fighters gets their own story. I'm looking forward to the next one. Highly recommendable series.

I did not think Tiago and Kate's story was going to be "doable" after the previous books in the series!! Tiago is horrible!! Pam Godwin totally did it though! Wow, this might be my favorite of the series. Totally awesome and what I needed!! You definitely find yourself wanting more in this series after each book. 5 STARS!!

Tiago and Kate were tragic, haunting, pained, and complacent. But they were also honest, determined, persistent, and well matched. There story had me going ahh, and ohh, and uh-oh, and uh-huh, and a whole bunch of ick, but in a good way. And just when I thought I had it all figured out, another shocking fact is thrown my way, and another, and I realized I had no idea what was going on, but I sure was enjoying the ride! Tiago is the best anti-hero I’ve read in a long time, a close second to Van, who is also in this series. As the story unfolds, you get to know him, his reasons, his motives, and they are all as dark and twisted as you could imagine. He doesn’t apologize for it, or who he is. What he does is uncover a new him, a different him, when he is around Kate. For her, and unbeknownst to her, he stays the same man, but with different motivations Kate has been a victim her whole life, and that was only solidified when Van took her captive. But she is done cowering, but with Tiago, she finds her backbone, only to wither at times. She doesn’t give up though, she continues to find and hold onto her inner strength. But then she sees, that being strong, doesn’t mean being oblivious. Giving in, doesn’t mean giving up, and being happy doesn’t mean there isn’t pain. She is determined to live on her terms, and stops at nothing to do so This was a dark, forbidden, and twisted journey, with Tiago and Kate as the sole source of light, for each other. It took my breath away in so many ways, and I was right there with our characters in the story

OMG this series just gets better!!! Pam writes the best dark, anti-hero and often disturbing reads, but they are well worth it if this is your thing - this one like the others in this series will push your limits - it is dark, violent and dirty, a captor/captive read that that will push and pull you along the love to hate line - it is so very wrong but oh so very right. Don't read this as a standalone, ideally the whole series must be read in order to fully appreciate what is going on in here. Kate is back in hell after being captured again. She knows that Tiago Badell, the infamous crime lord, has her. She hates him with a passion, at the same time she is terrified of him and even worse finds him outrageously handsome. But she will not submit to him, she fights him at every turn, she is a spitfire. Tiago has taken Kate as payment for something that was taken from him. She is not what he expected, she fights him at everything he does, and he loves it! As they come to get to know one another a bond develops, she starts to have feelings for the monster, or maybe its just Stockholm syndrome.... This is not a conventional romance, it is very brutal in parts, yet even so there is also some humor in here keeping it balanced. Tiago is the anti hero you will love to hate, he is very badly broken from his past and is the way he is because of this. Yet even so there are soft and swoony moments in here with him, he has some redeeming qualities even though he is bad to the bone. I loved Kate and her strength of character, even after everything she has been through she still had the ability to look beyond that which you could only see on the surface and look deeper at the meaning behind it all. She saw the worth in Tiago hiding behind the monster that he was. A fantastic read, one of the best dark romances I've read, I love this series and can't wait for more!

DARK. INTENSE. CAPTIVATING. This book is simply fierce! Definitely NOT for the faint of heart or those that have trigger concerns. This is the fifth book in this series and they should be read in order. Kate and Tiago's story left me stunned and breathless. These characters are complex and complicated to say the very least. Kate is so strong and has survived so much. Tiago is severe and very much an antihero, with his disturbing proclivities. They will take your emotions on such a wild ride that you will feel like you are on an out of control roller coaster at midnight in a blackout. Gripping, raw, disturbed, harsh and brutal, this is a book that will leave a long lasting mark on your mind. If you are a dark romance fan you do not want to miss this.

Rated 4.5 Stars Pam Godwin has done it again, made me fall for a despicable and much hated character. I didn't like Tiago when he first stepped onto the page in Devastate and I didn't like him for quite a bit of Take either but then his layers were peeled off and I saw the human underneath and the way he was with the heroine, Kate and couldn't help but change my mind about him. I loved their story even as messed up as it was I still loved it and highly recommend it to dark romance lovers. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

Tragic and hopeful in the mood, vicious and tender in sentiments, punishing and redeeming in the characterization, the story holds you hostage with words. Powerful words from unforgiving pen of Godwin. She doesn't hold much back, painting these people in all the shades of grey. They ALL  walk a thin line between love and hate, taking the readers by surprise at every turn.  I loved the mighty Tiago and the strong Amazonian woman that is Kate. Mettle of steel and heart of lioness. I love the wonderful women that Pam creates. They stand shoulder to shoulder with the men and often save the men in distress. From Liv to Camila to Lucia to Kate #WomenPower is strong in her stories !! I've been waiting for the stoory of Tiago Badell - Most Dangerous Men in the World since I read Devastate. His intriguing personality was calling my name and Pam has delivered him straight in to my hands. He's mysterious & omnipotent. His mystique and aura just splays like a dark cloud in the pages. Sexy as Devil, all Powerful like him too, I'm so enamoured by his range of proclivities & fetishes. I could even call him an artist of sorts He was madness with straight, white teeth. Corruption with glowing skin. A nightmare in a designer suit.  Kate is automatically pulled into his orbit, She's captive, helpless and at his mercy. A perfect setting for Stockholm Syndrome to set in......... Or is it? She was a human being with an expiration date,  You'll fall in love with this book, this series and the brain behind it all. It's a juggernaut of emotions, throttling down towards you at full speed. It railroads you with passion, overruns you with fear and shakes you with heightened sense of danger. You CANNOT remain untouched or unmoved.  “We both need this escape. You can take from me. I’ll take from you, and just for a little a while, let’s get lost in it.”  I'd do what Kate did in a heartbeat, I'd do what Tiago did in a nanosecond.......and I'd definitely do what Boones did unquestionably.  Only noblest of hearts can accept and endure, obey and acquiesce, to find redemption. 5 stars for Spit, Cum, Sweat, Blood
