About the Author

Dr. McIntire taught child psychology and principles of family counseling and therapy at the university of Maryland for 32 years. Father of three, columnist and parenting editor for the Cambfridge Center for Behavioral Research (behavior.org), he has answered over 600 letters from parents in the last ten years. He has also beena consultant and teacher of teachers in public schools and colleges.
