Texas Hold'em Tournament Tactics
Texas Hold'em Tournament Tactics talks about being your best at No-Limit Texas Hold'em tournaments. It covers the basics of the game, playing on the internet, poker etiquette, and the changing strategies of Texas Hold'em tournament play. The sole focus of this book is no-limit Texas Hold'em tournament play. Brian Shell hopes it helps you to win big and keep a sensible balance about a game that is fun and has become extremely popular with the televised events surrounding The World Series of Poker.

It contains tricks, tactics, and sports psyching techniques Brian developed as a serious racquetball player which also transcend into the realms of any sport or competitive endeavor. In his 20's, he played in many racquetball tournaments and realized that a tournament mentality needed a "marathon, not a sprint" mentality, and his gaming philosophy transcends into winning ways which helped him take 1st place in numerous poker tournaments as well. Also though, when he approached any competitive pursuit with a "the score is just a time keeping device... what matters is that you love the game you play" line of thinking, his success escalated to levels of excellence. He believes this kind of thinking will help you too... and thus, encourages you in this book to play it cool.

Also important in this book is Brian's illuminating chapter on poker etiquette. While playing to win is the name of the game, Brian believes it's just as important to do so with morals, manners, and virtue... especially if you want to be invited back for more.

About the Author

Brian Shell won many no-limit Texas Hold'em tournaments in the process of writing this book, and he wanted to share that poker wisdom with you. Having read many poker books in his card-playing education, he was frustrated that so few focused exclusively on no-limit Texas Hold'em poker tournament play so he wrote "Texas Hold'em Tournament Tactics." After being educated as an electrical engineer, he set his focus on writing, percussion, music, art... and poker.
