About the Author

Dr. S. Suresh is an Assistant Professor in Department of Chemical Engineering, Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal- 462 051, Madhya Pradesh, India. He received his Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. He has extensive research background in the field of separation process,reactor design and published many international and national research papers. Part of his work is also published in a text book titled "Comprehensive Biotechnology: Engineering Fundamentals in Biotechnology",edited by Murray Moo-Young in Elsevier Sciences. He has also worked in Pondicherry (Central) University and Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in the area of Environmental pollution & its control and Membrane process. His research interests include process modeling and simulation, preparation of nano-catalyst/materials, Biochemical Engg. (Fermentation, Bioreactor design); Environmental Engineering and Energy Engineering (Multicomponent adsorption,phytoremediation, composting technology, waste water treatment, membrane process,Biomass to biofuels/bioproducts, carbon sequestration, desulphurization, wet air oxidation, sequential batch reactor, treatment of petroleum oily sludge). He has received many awards and honours for his research contribution. Uttarakhand State Council for Science & Technology, Department of Science & Technology, India has honoured him with Young Scientist Award in 2009. He has received Visiting Research Fellowship at International Centre for Materials Science, JNCASR, Bangalore,India; 2011-2012. During his last two years, he had been involved at various levels in organization of two national level short-term courses. Dr. Amit Keshav is working as Assistant Professor in Department of Chemical Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Raipur - 492 010, Chhattisgarh, India. He has received Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR), India. He has published many papers in international/national research journals (more than 22) and attended international and national conferences (more than 40). He worked as lecturer at Seth Jai Parkashand Mukand Lal Instutute of Engineering and Technology (JMIT), Radaur for more than three years and presently working as Assistant Professor at National Institute of Technology, Raipur for last 2 years. He had worked as head of department at JMIT Radaur for a period of more than a year and had set up various labs at both the institutes he had worked. During the last five years he had been involved at various levels in organization of three national level seminars. He is actively involved in research and had been reviewer of many international journal papers. His working areas are Reactive extraction, Vapour liquid equilibria, Process intensification, Food science, Adsorption and CFD.
