Textual Neighborhood - Autobiographical Fragments in the Narrative Text - Ghanem Al-Dabbagh as a Model
We are not here to study biographical literature, but rather to explore the manifestation of autobiographical fragments in narrative texts. This can only be achieved through personal knowledge of the writer or insight into some of the details of his life experience. Many Iraqi writers publish their personal experiences in numerous narrative texts, without mentioning this or indicating their location within the narrative text. They always resort to reproducing these experiences in the narrative text. Within the overall context of the text, these experiences may approach or deviate from the real life event, but ultimately bear the fruit of the sin of the experience itself. If we were to trace these fragments of life experience, we would find many of these experiences in Iraqi narrative texts. However, we have taken the short story writer Ghanem al-Dabbagh as an example, as he is one of the writers who most drew from the wellspring of his personal experiences and invested them in narrative texts, even reproducing these texts more than once, under different names and thresholds.
