Thanksgiving by Lizzy Ford is book 2 in the Esme Novella Trilogy. I'm not sure about the novella part, these are long, full books. The depth of the characters is very addicting. I also haven't figured out much about Esme, including her name. She has lead a very protected, hidden, lifestyle and is naive for a seventeen year old girl. But, bullied since she was six, Esme has adapted as well as she is able. Once she begins making friends, she becomes vulnerable to the evils outside of Cherryville. Christmas is coming!

Thanksgiving was such a fantastic paranormal read. If you haven't read Halloween, do not read this one until you have because these novellas must be read in order. I loved the characters even more in this novella. Esme and her mom have quirky ways when it comes to things and their characters kept me laughing. They are both so sweet characters, so you can't help but love them. I also love Jasper, Oscar and Taco. In this story Esme begins to question who she is after learning of something major that was kept hidden from her. The arrival of Derek and Andrew, two new students to her school and small town makes her suspicious. The saying goes: when its too good to be true it probably is. Is that saying always true? With evil lurking in the distance who can you trust, and can you protect the ones you love? I can't wait to read the Christmas novella.
