About the Author

Ms. Card lived in Eugene, Oregon and taught middle school for thirty years. In addition to teaching, she enjoyed participating in sports and coaching kids at all levels. Her love of children and helping them to problem solve makes writing these books a joy. Ms. Card retired in 2003 to her hometown, The Dalles, Oregon. She currently resides with her sister and brother-in-law, due to health concerns surrounding her diagnosis of progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP). Ms. Card plans to write a series of books with Walter and Barf, as main characters, trying to solve real issues such as bullying, giving and accepting compliments, and turmoil in the family.
