About the Author

Barnie is a professional artist but loves to write also. He is a native of South Carolina where there are many lakes and rivers to back up his story in this book. He illustrates his own books and this book has 26 of his original watercolor paintings as illustrations. As a professional artist he had 2 of his paintings in the White House in Washington, DC during the Ronald Reagan administration. He has about 12,000 paintings distributed world wide and is the co-owner of one of the finest art galleries on the South Carolina coast. He lives in Pawleys Island, SC with his wife of 35 years.
