THE ALIVE FIVE: A Handbook for Family Health and Happiness discusses the epidemic of childhood obesity, how we got there, the severity of the dangers it poses, and the simple solutions of how to solve the problem. It is addressed primarily to mothers of obese children but is written for the child and the child’s family as well and presents diet and other lifestyle changes as a solution to the problem. Actress, producer, and Emmy Award-winning television host Ricki Lake has written the Foreword. This is Dr. John Monaco’s fourth book he has written on the subject of children’s health.
