About the Author

Bobette Stanbridge is a native Californian who grew up in the 50's when Los Angeles was still in its growing stage. It was a wonderful time to be a part of this new and creative world. Her father worked in the enterntainment industry and her mother had been a tap dancer with Paramount. Bobette was always interested in art and attended the Art Center College of Design that is currently in Pasadena. She created the characters that are in her Bunky books in the 70's. They were silk screened onto quilts, pillows, tote bags, shoe bags and t-shirts and sold at the best department stores nationally at that time. Years later her daughter found them and asked her to do more of them and so the story goes that the books were created. The stories are created to bring positive thoughts into people's lives because Bobette believes that thoughts will bring your next experiences and that it is important to choose your thoughts wisely. She has added positive sayings to each illustrated page to accomplish this goal.
