Jesse Malgreen is born smack on the U.S. Mexican Border when his teenaged Mexican mother Josie jumps the line at the Nogales, Arizona Port of Entry. Customs agent Bub Carter recognizes Josie as one of the Malverde Clan from his days at the Lochiel Port of entry up in the San Rafeal Valley east of Nogales.
Jesse grows up at the Malverde Ranch near Los Encinos, Sonora, Mexico and at his father's home inthe city of Phoenix, Arizona: he is a dual citizen with birth certificates identifying him as Malgreen in the U.S. and Malverde in Mexico. His great grandfather is the famous Mexican Robinhood known as Jesus Jose Malverde
Jesse struggles through his youth to reconcile his dual nature. As he comes of age he topples into an adolescent tryst with the beautiful Palomena Villareal whose father Lito is a powerful rancher and Boss of the Sierra Cooperative, an early day forrunner of a drug cartel that becomes known as the, Sierra Cartel.
Through a chance meeting with 'El Teddy' the psychopathic son of drug lord Hector 'El Flaco' Guzmon. Jesse comes under the watchful eye as a usuful pawn of an emerging drug family that becomes the Sierra Cartel operating in North Mexico. Unbeknownst to Jessy he is being watched and groomed as he struggles to adulthood acting out, drinking alcolholically and seeking fetish satisfaction with female undergarments. Things improve after he ends up in the Marines after a night of binge prinking.
