This study explores background material such as the writers and languages of the Book of Mormon and the modern witnesses to its divine origin. It surveys one by one the various writings comprising the ancient record, in each case summarizing the content, indicating the basic features, and suggesting an outline by which to obtain deeper understandings. Concluding chapters embrace doctrinal concepts which are enriched through the writings of the Book of Mormon. The entire book is written in a lucid style which enables the reader to share readily in the scriptural truths being discussed and in the author's perceptive comments.
