This is a story of two Daniels and the women they loved. Though their lives are one hundred and fifty years apart, they are bound by bloodline and prophesy as are their adversaries Master Roy Hancock and his great-great-great grandson Maximillian. This is a story of the supernatural; a prophesy that began midst horrific injustice and tragedy in the pre-Civil War Antebellum South. And now, in post 9/11 New York City, the prophesy shall be fulfilled along with a medical miracle and billions of dollars at stake. This is a story of revenge or actually retribution which can come in many different ways and means. It can be subtle or hit hard at light speed like a flash of lightning on the heels of a warning clap of thunder; regardless retribution is indeed retribution.

About the Author

David J. Reeves was born in Newark, NJ. He, along with his mother and three sisters are all proud graduates of legendary Arts High School in Newark; David is also a 1982 graduate of historic Clark College now known as Clark Atlanta University. David launched his professional writing career as a grant writer with the City of Newark, NJ in 1985. He has worked in both the public and private sectors in business, legal and technical writing capacities. The Books of Daniels is David's first foray into the creative writing process. An avid photographer, David loves films with a solid story line and script and enjoys reading as much as he enjoys writing. David has an adult daughter, Cherokee who is also a Clark alumni and a grandson named A.J.

David's soul mate and collaborator on The Books of Daniels is Renee Miller. Renee was born in New York City where she attended St. Pius V High School in the Bronx. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Thomas Edison State College in Trenton, NJ and her Masters degree in Administration and Supervision from St. Peters College in Jersey City, NJ. Renee has worked in the Newark Public School District as a teacher and Vice Principal for the past 26 years nurturing the minds of Newark youth. She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the proud mother of Khalif, Kibwe and Shirin. In her spare time, Renee enjoys developing community based programs that address the needs of urban youth.

The Books of Daniels is Renee and David's first foray into the creative writing process. Both reside in northern New Jersey.
