The Cloud and I

Overview

As a young girl was lying in the grass on a summer day, a cloud came down and swooped her up into the sky. The cloud took her around, introducing her to some of the different clouds that occasionally drift by. There were four clouds that he told her about and explained how they worked. She learned a lot about the different clouds. What a wonderful day.

I enjoy writing children’s stories and also illustrating them. My poem, “Snow” was published in a volume of The National Library of Congress, which received an Editors Choice Award. I was a volunteer art instructor at Lehigh County Prison in PA for four years and put together an art exhibit of the inmates’ work at the County Government Offices. Not only do I like to write children’s story books, I am an artist. I draw animals and pictures of people. I draw and paint fun pictures, contemporary, story book characters, traditional, and anything that I can think of. I just like to paint or draw all kinds of pictures.
