The Complete Wartime Speeches of President Zelenskyy of Ukraine
What follows are the complete wartime speeches of Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine. I have neither translated nor added any words. I am simply the compiler. As I wrote, I Need Ammunition, Not a Ride: Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Unlikely Hero, I read every word of every speech. I found them compelling.
As a professor, I believe that people should read the original source documents, rather than exclusively rely on others' commentary. Though these speeches are all found online here, I thought that it would be great to get these speeches into the hands of more people. I decided to compile these in an ebook the day after I gave a presentation about Zelenskyy and was asked a myriad of questions that were wildly off-base, factually inaccurate, or based on conspiracy theories. This is my effort to provide Zelenskyy's perspective to those who are interested in reading them.
As I post this first iteration, the war has passed the one-month mark. President Zelenskyy has spoken roughly 63,000 words to encourage his people, appeal to foreign governments, and promise a future day of justice, and call for peace. As the Russian-Ukrainian war is ongoing, my plan is to periodically update this.
One final note: The words on this page are the only words that are mine. All the rest are those of President Zelenskyy (with the exception of the speech by Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak at Chatham House which was posted on the Office of the President's website). I have simply compiled the English translation of his speeches. All bold is in the original speech.
