Chapter One

Where Are you?

There is something missing, even though I have never
had it
I have gone 20 something years, but I still manage
I'm even envious of those who even just pretend
Could I even handle it, well that would depend
On if it could stand for more than just procreation
If I could make a manse to ease any confrontation
The possibility it seems to me, a falsity
Yet I willingly, yet secretly search for the psyche,
similar to me
To find that I think it would provide a long search
Through every small town, to the ends of the earth
The journey though would definitely be worth the
time
But I guess I won't know unless I walk down that line

Pretty Package

Drifting down the distance
Trying to figure out existence
Finding love when I least expect it
A mirrored mind, the thoughts reflected
Two of the same, one of a kind
Where it will go, I cannot decide
It is an exciting place
Down this uncharted race
I'll hold on to today
When tomorrow does not go my way
I think this is strange writing about it so soon
These words often cause impending doom
But it is just how it feels
How a simple mind deals
No frills and no gimmicks
Like a kid on Christmas
I wonder what it is behind this pretty package
Whatever it brings, I won't take it for granted

Worth Winning

Stable
So able
To love you
I will be true
I knew from the beginning
Your heart was worth winning
Nobody has read this but you
Please let your harsh feeling subdue
I want this moment with you forever
No games because I'm not that clever
Always you behind my eyes
All logic love defies
Without any power
A flower
Capable

The Weight Of Ones Soul

She's taking a chance on the most stylish man
If he spends enough money, he'll get in her pants
It's too bad we all express, cause on the outside
she's on fire
But the problem is she's only got one burnin' desire
It's the fame, the dollars, to escape her life of squalor
But she lacks the work ethic to get it so she's after a
baller
Why she must have possessions
it is what she thinks is pretty
Well in my eyes she's ugly because she thinks
currency is sexy
He's taking a chance on this heartfelt feeling
She could care less though cause he can't buy her
anything
So he would sell his soul and step on the grounded to
get her
If he established himself as a big-shot, she's sure to
surrender
But he lacks the work ethic so she'll remain a
stranger
So now he drinks way too fast to relieve the rejection
Hoping this feeling of society's scrutiny will decrease
with sedation
But each drink just compounds the problem that he
does not have what they want
His mind ponders the matter but the senses become
shot
The weight of the change in his pocket is not enough
for her toll
Now he's underground from dollars to dimes which
cost him his mind, body, and soul

Spaces

Something just isn't in the look in your eyes
I used to look in for the truth and now there are only
lies
I want to love you I think you want something else
I want to make you happy but it is destroying my
health
Could it be that we have fallen out of love so quickly
Or maybe perhaps you have spent too much time with
me
Can we try an make it work or is it far past that
If it is we should not be false of the fact
So at the fork in the road let us part ways
Maybe we will meet up down the path
Different people
Same space

Right Place, Wrong Time

These pages take shape where I'd like to apologize
This may just be pointless but it might help to
subsidize
I want you to know that my guilt is felt daily
I hope you don't think that I'm living life vainly
You just wanted to love and I could not provide it
Why you want me provides a great deal of
astonishment
You already had someone who cared more
You can do without me for I would just need support
The karma has set in and things in my life have
altered
At the very least to say my chance to find love has
faltered
The only benefit is that you know what you know now
And that now I realize next time we're together I will
stand down

If Only You Could See

I wish my mind could charm you
My lack of looks disarm you
But I give the hints that you chose to see through
My longing for your touch will not subdue
The person you are is what I want a part in
I do the dumbest things just to see you grin
With you in my corner I can only win
I would do anything for you, commit the most vile sin
Walk the earth to fill your simplest desire
Try to shelter you from consequences most dire
To at least thank you for these words you have
inspired
If I could paint the picture to make you understand
To say that this part of my life I haven't the least
planned
You would not have known it is hard for me to
mention
Probably because the suffering of past rejection
I think you are beautiful
I hope that I am suitable

The Wrong Love

I hope there is a time when I am capable of love
But for now I cannot for all of the things I have done
There have been positive memories I have taken from
the past
But negativity is the focal point the good times
surpassed
It is not that I don't care and its not that I'm lazy
I just cannot let you see into my heart I won't let you
know me
I have been a different person to so many people
To some I am strong and to others I am feeble
It seems impossible for me to unite with someone else
How can you love someone when you don't love
yourself

In My Mind

There is a place where you are held in the most
confidence
Where no ill will confronts you there is no need for
defence
You are the focal point to all that transpires
There is nothing but people and places to satisfy
desires
A place to release accomplishments you wish to make
You may think this is fiction but there is such a place
It is predestined so there is no need to hide
You have plausible reasons to be sceptical because
that place is my mind
As long as you there nobody can hurt you
As long as your there hurt will not get through
I just wish that your mind was with me in body and spirit
If that wish would come true you would receive my
endearment

Three Billion To One

There are about three billion women apart of this earth
Not one of them seem to value what I could be worth
At least this is what I believe because I receive no
affection
The women I give signals to go in the other direction
I cannot find one to meet this attraction
The love of my life to engage with such passion
The thought of this seems like an addiction
But it is also just a thought which is possibly fiction
The people promoting infidelity and glorify shallow
pleasure
Trusting is a difficulty and being able is a troubled
measure
I don't blame anyone though
I've been the man on both sides of the story
You could call me immature for doing so
Maybe just horny
Due to my past I am denied by the women around me
I have learned from these mistakes, look back, and
resent history
For the ones who don't love to the ones that I don't
To which I am prone
There are about three billion women and I seem
forever alone

Leave Me Aone

Why can't you just leave me alone
Do not speak to me in that particular tone
You don't realize just the damage you cause
Instead of telling the truth I study your flaws
To divert myself from the fact of what is really the
matter
That I want you beside me in happily ever after
That is the reasoning behind my ignorance
That is the reasoning behind the arrogance
That is the reasoning your exclusion is a preference
Is it that I want you because you have a man
Just a sick lust for what I cannot have
It has to be you because normally I'm composed
But if you feel the same way I could not oppose
The matter my heart tends to but is denied by my brain
Being held back with such force causes so much pain
So please refrain because you must remain true
Use that particular tone to the man that is already
with you

The Place We Wound Up In

My nerves are all over the place
Between us there is little space
I really want to close the gap
She just won't fall right into my lap
I have to earn the chance and it drives me wild
You are as unpredictable as these words I have
compiled
I cannot tell where her road turns next
She is on another level
So different
So complex
A stalemate mind is a waste of my time
Her spontaneity shouts
Removing all doubts
Life is meant to be lived and she does it so well
Its such a great change with no problems to quell
She lets it all out and still remains perfect
So you can understand why I am a bit nervous
I just don't want to make the wrong move
I will just be myself just so I can prove
Just how much that we have in common
That we'll both make the most of this place we
wound up in

Two Friends Instead of One Lover

It is unbelievable that your eyes can touch me
I would have to be a fool and in fact
I want to be
But it is unattainable due to the line destiny drew
My path did not move to the comfort of you
Now you hold the heart of another
You share a story with a man who is like my brother
I could craft a plan to divide and conquer
But two friends are worth more than having one lover
So I douse out the flames with the words on this page
To avoid all games and unnecessary rage

So Many Women

There are so many women and so little time
But I do not need all of them
One would do just fine
I don't understand the conquest of self righteous
exploits
Counting the hearts broken just to brag of scored points
They perceive this as smart to take advantage of the
fragile
But its what is apparently cool
It is what's in style
Almost everybody it seems views love as just a
physical encounter
Yes you have touched but I doubt you
have really felt her
I think it is a decaying tradition of unconditional love
I don't want them all
One would be enough

Different as Me

She was born like I was
Her heart beats as mine does
The similarities of thought are uncanny
That must be why I yearn for her so badly
It seems that somebody so similar
Is now my mental inhibitor
Considering all my thoughts stop with
this lust for her charm
And I am physically flustered with her
gentle touch of my arm
Maybe this woman is different from what I see
Maybe its just the fact that she is as different as me

Love Leaves Me Stranded

I think I'm in a tunnel
I just can't quite tell
There is no light for guidance
No sounds to follow
Only silence
Scratching the walls persisting through pain
The emptiest of feelings driving me insane
Starting to run blindly
To see where it leads me but its endless ground
No chance of leaving
I could keep myself together if I had a companion
But that's what got me here
Love leaves me stranded

The Adulteror

Don't cry for me
I have committed adultery
There is no modern law
Only a commandment
The guilt is there and I cannot stand it
Truth is that the pleasure was not worth the pain
Karma is a bitch and due to this I sail alone in the rain
The damage is done the boat is now sinking
All the shit that I catch for that I am linking
The spill over is that now instead of one bad relation
I have stoned two people in one simple location
Being in the shoes of a bad man defeated
In some cases some say not worry in fact that I have
succeeded
Normally I would not discuss my situation with a moron
But I am trying to cope with it by talking to anyone
I guess it is something that will mark my days
At least I learned a lesson from my drunken error ways

The Life Love Forgot

A lifelong clash with the opposite
An unnatural selection of composite
The deeds are unwarranted
The happiness of them is of the lamented
No mutual expression without exception
Fake hope in a blend with deception
A physical conquest courtesy of natural selection
But I assume that natural I am not
I'm just the life that love forgot

With Another

I am overwhelmed with passion for her
The sense of the presence of her intoxicating
I want the bond in between to occur
I wish I could act on the love I'm creating
But she is with another
Before I was just a little too late
I don't think I could turn her down
Even with the negative fate
I wish I could destroy ties that have been bound
But she is with another
The promise of pain in premature premise
But every moment I breathe is all the more damaging
The confusion and guilt of destroying a marriage
I have to do something the feelings are amassing
But she's with another and their love is lasting

Lovebird

Her flight path is hard to predict
She is free to roam wherever without conflict
Perfect
Part of the perfection is her vulnerable appearance
Due to this there is no outside interference
Adherence
To whatever she does when she is around
I wish I could catch her but I'm stuck to the ground
Abound
Is my love for her but she remains unaware
I know I could love her beyond compare
A pair

The Friend

I end up as the shoulder
More often than not
I am the one to hold her
It puts me in quite a spot
I see her as the one but she sees me as a friend
I would heal her every issue
I would give her everything I could spend
No challenge I would not fight through
She thinks there is another one
She thinks I'm just a friend
The men she sees are shallow at best
I could tell her that but she would surely repent
Considering her love leaves me feeling obsessed
This is the one message that I cannot send
She's not the one
She's just a friend

More Than One Night

I do not ask for much
Just a chance
I do have a minor hunch
With you I could dance
Will you honour me with you company
I will be a gentleman
Is there love you're willing to share with me
The ultimate sentiment
We won't get into that right away
But I would not deny it
Not only do I want to hear about your day
I want to ignite it
This is definitely not subtle I know
I have no other option
Tip-toed through the fact I have been hit by that arrow
To the wind I throw caution
If you let me in I will shower affection
No need for deceit
If you will fall in my arms I will do anything for your
protection
I will never leave

The Breakup

I wish I had this page an hour ago
That way I could have put some thought to my
statement
Now I'm at an emotional low
Considering my stomach and heart just hit the
pavement
All that I love is in question
For not pointing in the right line
It is a painful lesson
In due time I guess I will be fine
I hope you will be too
That you can look at me as you did before
That my words and actions are true
That moment would pick me up off the floor
Through this I will try to explain
What I said was not to cause damage
I want nothing more than to remedy your pain
But I have caused it and now I will try to salvage
Whatever path I have to walk
I will do it to see the smile back on your face
Just to sit and talk
I don't think another could take your place

Dance With Me

This may just be a waste of time
But I won't know if I don't try
The heart's questions I wish to answer
Look in yours to find happily ever after
Everyone has that imagery inside
The thing is I have you as mine
Don't be apprehensive although you have that right
I wish to show you that love can last more than one
night
All that I ask is a chance
To know if the chemistry can last
Or if it is not there and this moment will fall into the
past
This could be a waste of time and you do not want to
dance
But you will not know until you have taken that
chance

Non-Physical Attraction

I cannot hold it physically
But somehow it still ignites me
It is not something I see even though I try
Although I swear I catch a glimpse in your eyes
We believe it does not make a sound that we can hear
Yet it screams from the depths ever so sincere
It is impossible for it to have a taste
But I can whenever I kiss your face
For it to have a scent seems to be nonsense
But the familiarity of yours breaks my every defence
By these words it seems I am on the brink of insanity
That is the will of what is my destiny
It turns out that I am not because it is you that I hold
You may not understand because I'm discussing your
soul
