"Subhuti! Let's say that a very fine individual gave gifts of great value in an amount which would fill many vast universes, all with the kindest intention for it to be of great benefit to everyone! Next, imagine someone aspiring to awaken to absolute perfect enlightenment by means of learning, comprehending, and finally, explaining to others just a brief verse from this Diamond teaching that I'm giving you here today! This second person's actions would create far, far greater benefit!"
"But, World-Honored One, how are we to best explain this teaching to others?"
"Subhuti! Just be sure to explain that things are unexplainable—and you'll be fine!
A phantom, dewdrops, a lightning strike,
A candle, skewed vision, a dimming morning star—
These six are to show you what all things are like—
They're like dreams—may you notice that all things are!"
