Overview

When Monique Patterson is attacked while going home from work, she defends herself with her knowledge of karate, and leaves her attacker lying in the parking garage. But she is later arrested on suspicion of a hit and run felony. Detective Ross Welsh helps investigate the case, but when he hears Monique's story, he believes she did defend herself. The problem is, the attacker is his nephew, James. Ross is atracted to Monique but knows nothing could happen between them. Can Monique's lawyer prove she was attacked? Is there proof that Monfique hit James with her car and left the scene? Can she and Ross have a meaningful relationship? About the Author

Award winning and self published, Janet Glaser started writing in high school. She has had many short stories published in national magazines including Woman's Word and is the author of a book, Down Memory Lane - A Pictorial History of the St. Charles Missouri Area published by Curtis Media Corporation, Dallas, Texas. She worked for two newspapers writing articles and has self- published The Heart of a Clown, a memoir of her life, and two children's books. She also worked as Community Relations officer for the St. Charles County Sheriff Department where she had contact with television, radio and newspaper. She is retired in California where she spends time writing novels and short stories.
