About the Author

Christopher Gladwell is a breathwork, yoga, and meditation practitioner. He is a member of the International Breathwork Federation (IBF) and the British Rebirth Society as well as being an elder with the Yoga Alliance UK. He is the author of 14 books on yoga and meditation and has also written over 50 articles for the yoga press. He lives in Bristol, UK.
James Earls is a Structural Integration practitioner and manual therapist with decades of experience. He holds diplomas in various forms of bodywork and a BA(Hons) in Psychology and an MSc in Human Anatomy&Evolution. James lectures regularly worldwide and is a co-organizer of the annual Evolution101 Summit in London. James is the author of three books and lives in London.


James Earls is a Structural Integration practitioner and manual therapist with decades of experience. He holds diplomas in various forms of bodywork and a BA(Hons) in Psychology and an MSc in Human Anatomy&Evolution. James lectures regularly worldwide and is a co-organizer of the annual Evolution101 Summit in London. He has written widely. As well as writing for Massage World, Today's Therapist, the journal of the International Association of Structural Integrators and 'In Touch', James has authored three books with Lotus/North Atlantic Books: Fascial Release for Structural Balance (2 ed); Born to Walk - Myofascial Efficiency and the Body in Movement (2ed ); and Understanding the Human Foot - all published by Lotus/North Atlantic. He has also contributed to co-authored Fascial Release for Structural Balance (Lotus), wrote a portion on movement for Thomas Myers' Anatomy Trains (3rd&4th eds), and was invited to write a chapter on gait for the second edition of Fascia in Sports and Movement (Handspring), and contributed to Lauri Nemetz's recent title The Myofascial System in Form and Movement (Handspring). Whilst not currently serving on any board he is involved with the International Association of Structural Integrators, the Sports Massage Association (UK), the Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage (UK), and the Association of Physical and Natural Therapists. James has extensive teaching experience, teaching about fascia, functional anatomy, and movement.
Christopher Gladwell has authored 14 self-published books, the most popular of which is Engaged Yoga: Weaving Yoga into Daily Life(978-0956792242). He has also written over 50 articles for the yoga press, including Kindred Spirit Magazine. Christopher's breathwork training began with athletics at the age of 16, and he has since trained as a biologist and studied martial arts. He has been initiated into and taught the Indian yogic techniques of Vedic pranayama, and is also trained in Conscious Connected breathing to trainer level with Kayana and is a Master Instructor with Stig Severinsen's Breatheology. Christopher has taught at and presented at numerous conferences over the last 30 years, including the International Breathing Festival in Mexico 2022 and the UK Breathing Festival. He has been teaching on yoga teacher trainings since 1990 and running his own courses since 2004. He currently runs two year-long Breathwork Instructor courses that are CPD and GPBA accredited as well as a 500-hour yoga teacher training. He is a member of the International Breathwork Federation (IBF) and the British Rebirth Society as well as being an elder with the Yoga Alliance UK and formerly with the Independent Yoga Network (IYN). Christopher has a growing database of over 10k subscribers.
