Jan is a native New Yorker who spent her childhood and early adulthood hiking, camping, and tramping in the shadows of the heroes of the Revolution. The mother of two grown daughters, she holds a degree in English and has worked as a hospice nurse. She has traveled extensively the United States, Canada, Central America, and India, and has lived in seven states. She now lives in the Catskills with her two dogs.
