About the Author

Zhila Berenji was born and raised in Iran, where her love for poetry and literature took root at an early age. That passion eventually led her to leave engineering school and explore the world of storytelling—one that spoke more clearly to her heart than equations ever could.

             Zhila has a special place in her soul for classic literature, especially Wuthering Heights, which inspired the title of her debut novel, The Green Heights. She's drawn to deep conversations and enjoys challenging conventional ideas, believing that philosophical dialogue is one of the few ways we can make sense of the world and move it forward.

            For years, Zhila dreamed of coming to the United States. That dream came true on December 4, 2002, when she arrived at JFK Airport overflowing with joy—a feeling too big for words and forever etched in her memory.

            Outside of writing, Zhila enjoys cooking, watching sci-fi movies, reading spiritual books, listening to healing music, and practicing meditation. She is also a passionate advocate for animal rights. Family is at the center of her life, and nothing brings her greater happiness than time spent with loved ones.
