Javy Wong Galindo, M.A., M.Eng., is a college professor of philosophy, humanities, and psychology in Northern California. He has been a popular instructor at Heald College, John F. Kennedy University, and De Anza College, located in the heart of Silicon Valley. Javy is also a proud member of the American Association of Philosophy Teachers, the Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy, and the Western Positive Psychology Association. I have read plenty of self-help/self-improvement books over the years, but it is rare that I come across books as high of a quality that “The Happiness Habit” offers readers. The most important feature of this book though would definitely have to be the pure practicality of the advice. There are plenty of exercises outlined in the read that anyone can incorporate into their lives right away and from what I’ve tried so far, I have found that they really do seem effective. Javy W. Galindo presents the information in a way that I personally found not only to be insightful but also easy to understand and quite enjoyable to read due to the relaxed tone of the writing style. This combined with how useful the read is ultimately makes me consider this book to me more than worth the read.
