The Inconvenient Sister

Overview

While driving down a dark, isolated road, Abbey grips the steering wheel when the car behind her bumps her van-camper with the intent of pushing her down the mountainside. The bumps continue, but she manages to keep control of the van. The assailant turns off the road at the edge of a town and disappears before the police arrive. The illusion of escaping from the assailant was broken the next morning, however, when she visits the campground office and discovers an unknown man had asked about her. He knew her name and described both her and her RV.
She has no idea who this mystery man might be or why he wants to hurt her. Paranoia sets in, but she continues traveling northward hoping to elude her pursuer. Her dream vacation had turned into a nightmare.

About the Author

Mary Lee was born and raised in New York. After graduating from NY State University New Paltz, she heeded that voice which said, “Go West, young woman, go west,” and headed to California where she received her Masters degree in literature from Cal State LA. During her professional career, she moved from being a teacher to librarian to journalist, but enjoys being a novelist the most.

Over the years, Mary Lee has traveled through the United States, Europe, and Asia. Here in the States, she likes to explore the open spaces in the West and can often be seen traveling down the road in her RV with her cat.

Mystery/suspense/thriller genres have always topped her list of favored reading, so it is not surprising that most of her novels fall into those categories.

Usually books take a while to get good, but this book hooks you in on the first page. Very good book, very well written, and very good characters. I would love to read more of Mary Lee Tiernan's books.

I may have just found another favorite author in Mary Lee Tiernan! If all her books are as exciting and heart-warming as "The Inconvenient Sister", I'll be a happy reader! I was locked in after reading the first chapter; and from there, the suspense continued to grow with each succeeding chapter. The personalities came alive on the characters and I found myself falling into the moment with them in their journey.
Now it's time to order another book from Mary Lee Tiernan.
